Summary: A good book but....
Review: Another good book in the Corp series but still haunted by mistakes in continuity, that have plagued the whole series. I believe Mr. Griffin needs a good editor for this series. Between The Corps, Badge of Honor, and the OSS series he is stetching himself to thin. An interesting storyline that manages to catch -up on characters like Milla Banning who I was beginning to think was forgotten. Only one real question about previous characters....what has happened to Joe Howard?

Summary: Great follow-up to "Behind the Lines"!
Review: At last, he writes a book in which every other page is a recap of what happened in the previous books! The story line was great and kept me reading from when I opened the package until I finished. I can't wait for the next one. The only criticism I can offer, and it's minor, is that the ending was somewhat rushed and left us hanging. I would love to have seen another few pages with details of how the operation was wrapped up, but I guess he needs a hook to keep us coming back.

Summary: Familiar Characters, Familiar Story Line, But Still Great
Review: Having read everything WEB Griffin has ever written, I, like all other Griffin fans eagerly await every new book. In Griffin's latest addition to his 'Corps' series: 'In Danger's Path' (GP Putnam & Sons, 1998)Griffin uses his standard issue storyline with his cookie cutter characters to tell the story of the WWII military and the OSS (predessor to CIA) attempting to set up a weather station in the Gobi Desert. Griffin, whos personal history remains a mystery to his fans, delivers exactly what his fans crave for. His ability to stick with a winning formula guarentees 'In Danger's Path's' success. Drawbacks: The final two-thirds of the book spends a bit more time dealing with safe-guarding national secrets then it does continuing the story line. However, if you're a fan of anything Griffin has ever written, then not only should you read 'In Danger's Path', but grab his other series', 'Badge of Honor' (police stories), 'Brotherhood of War' (army aviation stories), 'Men at War' (OSS stories in Africa), and 'Honor Bound' (OSS stories in South America). Enjoy.

Summary: not the best in the series, but still above the commonality
Review: Griffen continues to write an engrossing novel, focussing mainly on the interaction of familiar personalities. His greatest fault is a sometimes glaring lack of continuity. this can cause a somewhat abrupt start in the reader, a "but that's not what he said in the previous book....

Summary: An excellent addition to the "Corps" series
Review: I thought the book was a very impressive piece of work. Although there are a lot of characters to keep track of, his style of writing somehow makes it possible to do so. Keep them coming!

Summary: Excellent yarn in the Griffin tradition
Review: Very-well told story of the continuing saga of Ken McCoy and his compatriots as they fight WWII on an arena not-so-typical. This book has less of the errors in continuity found in other books in the series. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Summary: outstanding
Review: I have read the entire series of the Corps by Griffin and he once told me that he probably won't do another book on the Corps because he was running out of ideas. If this is his way of running out of ideas he should do it more often. Mr. Grifcfin has a way to put you in the Gobi Desert with McCoy and Zimmerman. Outstanding reading for anybody who is a military buff or just a retired Marine like my self.

Summary: KEPT ME UP ALL NITE READING AS ALWAYS WITH HIS BOOKS
Review: ACTION,SUSPENSE WAS PENTYFUL AS USUAL. IF YOU HAVENT READ ANY OF HIS BOOKS GO BACK AND GET THE FIRST ONE OF EACH OF HIS SERIES.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Outstanding reading for fans, but not the best of the Corps
Review: I love W.E.B. Griffin! However, this particular Corps edition is not the best in the series. While all of my favorite characters are reintroduced and I learned more about their progress, their actual activities proceeded too slowly. Having read everything of Griffin's books that I could get my hands on, this criticism may be too expectant of what I consider to be a genius writer. Nevertheless, I want more action. I want to know more. Maybe I just wish that Griffin would finish the series. The ultimate criticism, I suppose, is that I am too hungry for more action. Any reader of Griffin, and any new reader of Griffin, will absolutely love this book. Mr. Griffin, please don't make us wait too long for the next in the series!

Summary: GREAT READ.
Review: WEB Griffin is one of the premier writers of military history of our time. The only problem I have with his "Corps" series is that his editor does not read with the same attention to detail that most avid readers do. The only problem I had with this book, was the total transformation of Zimmerman's personality. Come on Mr.Griffen, do us all a favor and re-read what you've already written, so that the little details that make your characters so much fun are not lost between books. All in all, a great read.
