Summary: Not nearly as good as his others
Review: I was so disappointed in this book. His other two, Absolute Power and Total Control were fantastic, but Simple Truth did not have the depth or suspense that I was looking forward to. I hope he gets back on track with his next book.

Summary: Disappointing
Review: I've read all of Mr Baldacci's books: this one was really disappointing. As always, his build up to the climax when all is revealed (as in all his other 3 books) was suspensful, but this time round, the ending was very superficial. I felt rather cheated at the end with the simplistic ending. The main characters John and Sarah, seemed self-absorbed and highly unendearing, particularly so for the desperate Sarah. A disappointing read.

Summary: David, please write another "Absolute Power"!
Review: I have read all of David Baldacci's books since "Absolute Power" went on my 'all time favorites' list (despite a lukewarm movie adaptation). This one was just a bit too much. Too much credibility stretching, too much plot twisting and I have a hard time believing everyone in the Supreme Court acts like a spoiled child. For top law students accepted as clerks in the highest court of our land, Michael and Sarah are just too dumb to be allowed to cross the streets alone. I will buy Baldacci's next book, hoping for redemption. Please don't let me down David.

Summary: Just OK
Review: Plot was interesting but main characters lacked any depth. All in all felt it was rather childishly written - not a book to keep you awake.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Good easy read
Review: This is not a bad book for an easy weekend read. Baldacci's best since Absolute Power. The ending is a little corney, but the overall story moves quickly and keeps the readers attention.

Summary: A very interesting and good book.
Review: I had never even heard of Baldacci until a few weeks before I read it. David out did himself though, he could have left out a few things but I still really liked it. The characters were really good, and the suspence made it a page turner.

Summary: GREAT BOOK !!!
Review: I liked this book. It kept my interest. There were some good plot twists through out the book. I thought that The author did a great job of character development for the most part. My favorite book by him is still "Total Control". Reading this is time well spent.

Summary: Excellent Excellent Excellent!!!
Review: This was my first time reading David Baldacci. I will be back for more! Excellent!

Summary: A decent book until the end. . .
Review: I've read every one of Baldacci's books since his debut with Absolute Power (a great book). Unfortunately, this one does not live up to his others (actually, The Winner was sort of a dud as well). The book started off well and the initial character development was interesting. However, the end was far too predictable-by then I felt I was reading a screenplay instead of a novel. I'm sure Sandra O'Conner or Ruth Ginsberg took offense to his portrayal of the female member of the Supreme Court! I will continue to read his books, but my patience is running thin.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A page-turner
Review: Why is it that most people read this book in no more than two sittings? Myself, I read it in one. Problem is, after staying up so late reading, the thrilling and chilling end left me too wound up and frightened to sleep.
