The Partner

Summary: Great, but not as good as "The Rainmaker"
Review: "The Partner" is so special because the main character seems to be guilty, but the reader likes him anyway. I think that this is a nice approach. From my point of view "The Partner" is not as good as "The Rainmaker" (my favourite Grisham novel) but it is great, too.

Summary: Detrimental to sleep!
Review: I just finished this book. Even I am not a Englsh native speaker. I felt the suspence and thrill as well. It took three days to read it through. For three days, I did nothing but reading this book. But the ending is somewhat disappointed. Anyway, it is great. I strongly recommend it!!!!

Summary: Is Grisham loosing his touch?
Review: I have read all of the Grisham novels with the exception of the newest one. This one was a little disappointing. It lacked the tension and excitement of his other books. This was a decent read but it lacked much of the flair that The Firm and The Pelican Brief have. You know when you read a book and them go see the movie? The movie is never as good? This book was written like it was the screen play. Not that it was bad, I just hoped for a little more...

Review: The author should not assume his readers are not paying attention. He slapped together a silly ending in order to make sure the main character did not get off scott free. This resulted in his not being true to his characters. Tsk tsk Mr. Grisham that was not very nice.

Summary: Grisham can't get any better.
Review: Grisham did an excellent job with this book. I loved it, I really think this is his second best, next to the Client. The only thing I didn't like about it was the ending. I think it could have been different, not end like it did and leave the reader in the balance. Grisham is really good at keeping the reader's attention from the beginning to the end. I think Grisham is gonna be around for a long time. I personally think when I'm an old man his books will be classics. This one will be one of his greatest.

Summary: A Good, Solid Grisham Read
Review: Many have reviewed this book and found the ending to be somewhat disappointing......however, I am not one of them! This was a great read and I found the end. ... Very delightful! I do not wish to give the end away, but I would encourage all to give this book a try. There is a lot at stake within the plot and when that is true....anything can happen. Good job Mr. Grisham!

Summary: Great story, magnificent detail. Who is Patrick Lanigan?
Review: I enjoyed this book very much and find I would like to read more about Patrick Lanigan's shinanigans. A good friend at work swears that she read a story of this characters' graduation from law school and starting with this law firm. I can't find anyone else who knows anything about a previous story. Help!

Review: I was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't see exactly where Grisham was taking this story. That is, I had hoped it would end in a somewhat surprising fashion - as it did. A good rainy day read.

Review: I loved the book untill the ending. It seemed as if JG needed to end the book in a hury. Other than that, it was great.

Review: To be so shrewd and yet so niaive, makes the ending predictable. However, one always sides with the underdog even tho a thief is a thief is a theif!!!
