Rating: Summary: Good format, but, please don't be predictable Review: This was a very good read until the middle of the book when unfortunately, I had figured out what and who was going to do what they did. (don't want to give it away to someone who hasn't read the book yet) The plot was complex enough to hold interest, but then it became predictable just by clues given in the story. All in all it's a good book for quick reading.
Rating: Summary: Great book, but the ending is horrible Review: I have read and liked most of Grisham's books. This one wasn't an exception, I rank it third in my favorite of his books. The plot is fast paced and makes the book hard to put down. I started it during exam week( a bad idea but i needed a break from school) and i could barely stop. But, when i finished it after exams...I felt a bit let down...the ending was just so bad! It is still a good book though...you should definitely read it. by the way I aced my exams anyways.. ;-Þ
Rating: Summary: Fast paced and thought provoking Review: I found this book exciting and fast paced. After I finished reading it, I couldn't pick up another book to read for a few days because(not to give anything away) I kept thinking about the characters and the conclusion of the book. I can't wait to talk to someone else that has read it.
Rating: Summary: Very Good, Fast Paced Story...but LOUSY ending! Review: I agree with many of the previous reviews, I enjoyed the pace and the thrill of the story, but I was very disappointed with the ending, it left me hanging, though it did leave an "out" for another book. For great courtroom thrillers read Richard North Patterson (Degree of Guilt, Eyes of a Child) or Steve Martini.
Rating: Summary: I was capitvated by wanting to know Patrick's motivations. Review: I'm surprised at how many of the other reviewers didn't like the ending. Happy endings are not real life. It was a bit depressing, but more realistic. I was only surpsied it took Eva so long to do what she did. I loved that the more you read, the more you discovered. It wasn't all handed to you, but you had to peel away the layers to discover the whole story. It made for a more fascinating read. John Grisham is the best, and I can't wait to read more.
Rating: Summary: This book was amazing Review: Go and buy it now. It will be the best book that you have ever read. The twists dont stop coming. I could not stop reading. Well done Mr Grisham
Rating: Summary: One of Grisham's best! Review: I have read all of John Grisham's books to date and this has been one of his best novels. I couldn't put it down - the ending was a surprise.
Rating: Summary: absolutley positively his best yet Review: as a person who is not big on reading, and I always have hated it, this book changed my view drastically. Since I read The Partner in late May, i have not been able to stop reading grisham books. I have currently read all but the pelican brief in the past two months. I constanly spend many nights up very late reading these phenomenal books, and i am finally enjoying reading. this one book stands out from the rest though, and i beleive that it is in fact his best. it grabs your attention at page one, as do most his books, but i almost read this one straight through, i hated to put it down, definitley a must read for anyone, and by far, the best.
Rating: Summary: The most well written mystery I've read so far Review: I quite enjoyed reading The Partner; 1) It involved revenge on a law firm for being corrupt, 2) Details were described in full rather than half fast, and 3) there are still question unaswered leaving the reader to use his/her imagination. A definate 5+ and one I'm proud I bought and not have to return to the library!
Rating: Summary: One of Grisham's best! An excellent read! Review: While other readers have commented about their disappointment in the ending of The Partner, I thought the ending was just right. ... I couldn't put this book down!
