Summary: No time for a summary, I'm writing a review!
Review: This is a great book, but the ending stinks

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Still a lawyer book, but a little more original
Review: After several books with basically the same plot, (The firm, The Pelican Brief, The Client), and one that was just plain boring,(The Rainmaker)it was a relief to read something different from Grisham. The plot is interesting and the Lanigan's recalling of the events is very entertaining. You'll probably either really love or really hate the ending. I liked it!

Summary: Absolutely brilliant throughout--A joy to read!
Review: I have enjoyed several of Grisham's movies, without ever reading the book, and I must say that the reading experience far outshines the two-and-a-half hours of his movies. "The Partner" is a fast paced page turner that grabs you and doesn't let go, and although I was mildly disappointed with the ending, nothing could tarnish the brilliance of the first 460 pages. Way to go John!

Summary: 95% Excellent...Other 5% hard to come by
Review: Grisam's The Partner is a very captivating book. It's all about action. It's hardly a law book in the sense that it's almost a coincidence that the main character is a lawyer. It's more like and action book with some law on the side. The book is very fast paced and well written--until the ending. I think Grisham was kind of tired of writing the book and wrapped it up too quickly. He obviously didn't plan it very well. Up until the 20 last pages or so, however, the book is 5 stars. I'd suggest you read everything but the last chapter. Yes, the ending was bad but I'd still give it two thumbs up because it's definitely worth reading.

Summary: Very Easy/Grisham Reading, But Held My Interest To The End!
Review: I don't know why everyone always get's so excited about a new Grisham book. He hasn't written a strong novel since The Firm and even that was showing sign's of wear in his work. He continually writes the same book with the same type of heroin. Yet, everyone get's in a frenzy when a new one is released. Like oh wait, this one will be great. Yet in the end it's the same book.

This book was slightly better than the crap he has been churning out for the last two books, but by far, nothing to brag about. Sure it keeps your interest, but so do bad Enquirer headlines in the checkout. How many of you buy that garbage. The Partner had a plausable story, but when your finished, how belivable was it. ...

I will say this, I do enjoy his books at some level. But his writing is no better than any of the trash Jackie Collins novels out there. He is high school level reading at best. His work never stretches the imagination only stretches the plot line very thin. I'm not looking for some novel that will last 100 years, but John come on, put some thought into your work. And people stop praising this guy. Enjoy his books as harmless fun and nothing more. Don't keep recommending this crap like it should be a Pulitzer winner.

I mean really, do you really feel that The Client is anything other than a long high school C- paper for english class. Or how about the paper thin characters of The Rainmaker or better yet the attempt at wisdom in The Chamber. Sit back and read a real novel people, then you will know what trash you are reading

Summary: Excellent book with a bad ending
Review: I simply could not put this book down, but I am a Grisham fan. I was engulfed in getting to the end and find out what happened, but once I reached the end, I hated the book. I felt really let down by the ending. To me, it wasn't the normal Grisham.

Summary: A book you want to keep reading
Review: This is one of Grisham's best. The plot, the past, the future and how the end ended. Everything was perfect and articulate. I enjoyed every minute of what Patrick was going through and what he was revealing. Every step was fascinating and every detail intriguing. This is a book that is a must read.

Summary: The Best
Review: I've read all of Grisham's book except the last two,The Testament and The Street Lawyer. I just got Street Lawyer...Let me say this, I could'nt put down "The Partner" to me this was his best! Why should the ending be any different than a bad divorce? Someone is going to get it in the end and its usually the ...

Summary: great book, a little predictable though
Review: the book was great. i read it in a matter of five days simple because like many of his other books i can't simply put them down. I found the book to be a little predictable about half way through. I was indeed pissed off in the end though. It's worth the read that's for sure thought.
