Rating: Summary: it was intense reading for a teenage but it was outgtstandin Review: If read his book in thew past but they were nothing compared to the partner.
Rating: Summary: A really exciting crime, mystery novel. Review: I found this book to be a exciting and mysterious novel. From the beginning to the end of the book, there were questions asked with surprising answers. Patrick Lanigan has a wife, child, and a great job. This was your typical perfect dad. Then things flipped and flopped and Patrick then stole money, fled for his life, was captured, tortured and still there were surprises around the corner. This book was the most interesting book I have ever read. Every sentence made me ask more questions and more mysterious questions would come up with every answer.
Rating: Summary: Here's to a True Grisham ! Review: This book is absolutely the best of Grisham. And I've read them all! The ending has a twist like no other !
Rating: Summary: AN ENTERTAINING ABEIT FLAWED BOOK Review: The plot of the story is a bit oversimplistic to start with. Then there are the endless deals the character makes with the Government. If the Government really worked this way, then the whole world would be full of millionaires and a bankrupt Government. With pigs roaming the street. But that doesn't matter, the book is a good read with a likable main character and an interesting plot, the one I just said was oversimplistic. I still enjoyed the book and you will too if you're not so pedentic like me. I think I spelt thaty word worng.
Rating: Summary: Grisham is truely a law writing genious. Review: John Grisham has definitely done it again. The Partner is one of the best so far. Grisham really knows how to write an intriguing plot that will keep the reader reading from cover to cover. It all starts off with Patrick Lanigan, who fakes his own death and flees the country with 90 billion dollars which he embessled from his law firm, is caught and kidnapped by secret agents, who abuse his physically and emopthionally tryign to get out of him where the money is now. Thew only thing is that Patrick has no clue where the money actually is at, and only has way of finding out. Mystery lies within the plot, such as who was in the casket of Patrick Lanigan's and how did he do it, and who is the person heklping him out through all of this. And the number one question is where is the 90 billion dollars? All of these questions are answered, but you have to read to get them. Also Patrick Lanigan, as a chratcer in general, portrays a new type of character for Grisham, a hard core criminal who had no reason to do what he did. This book is definitely one for the crazy courtroom lovers. It shows the way that justice is not always severed ot those who it should be served to. Grisham lets the audience be sorry for Patrick, even though we should feel sorry for his money grubbing widow, who has moved on to a younger and less richer man. At the end of the novel, I had that sort of warm and mushy feeling in my stomach that nade me feel like the ending of the book was perfect and should have eneded that way, even though others will most definitely think otherwise. Being a big fan of Grisham for almost six years now, this book really hit home and kept me up at all hours of hte night to finish it. The plot structure was well thought out and has no holes in it where the reader has to imagine what happens next. All of the mysteries are solved, you just have to keep on readiong until the end. I really recommend this novel to those who love the view of a courtroom from a lawyer and criminal's prospective.
Rating: Summary: Excellent Review: I've read nearly all of John Grisham's books, and I would definately say that this is one of his best! If you aren't familiar with his work this is a great place to start!
Rating: Summary: A usual bestseller Review: This book is the typical Grisham book. I usually take about a month to read such a book, but this time it took me 4 days. It's a great page turner, and the suspense is always there. However, the plot isn't that interesting, and the end is kind of weird. Seems to me he finished it quickly 'cause he was behind a deadline...
Rating: Summary: The best of all Grisham's!! Review: This is so far the best of John Grisham's palm-sweating stories. The way he puts impossiblities into "almost-real" is certainly amazing. However, the true reality ain't that nice for you to walk away with "big" money like that. Although I didn't like the ending at all, Grisham tells us about the price that we have to pay after all.
Rating: Summary: One of Grisham's best Review: This is the best that Grisham has written. He uses the element of surprise so well, and keeps one on edge the whole time. I could not put this book down from beginning to end.
Rating: Summary: !!Awesome!! Review: This is probably the best book that I have ever read. Once I started it I couldn't put it down. I'm not a big reader, but if all books were this good, I think that that would have to change.
