Summary: Compelling with a few holes.
Review: I don't think I like this genre because everything seems so "constructed" - like a "made for TV" movie. Everything was so "pat" it just felt more and more unbelievable. Still it was interesting enough to keep me reading. I found the ending to be a case of expecting the unexpected; I saw it coming, but felt like it was just too easy. I felt exactly the same way about the final scene in the movie, Titanic. I mean, why wouldn't somebody hold on to a million dollar piece of jewelry for a lifetime then toss it in to the ocean on the night of her death? Makes perfect sense to me. Come on! The ending to The Partner felt like that also.

Review: This book was so boring, predictable, no content...I wouldn't have finished if I wasn't on the trip (I had nothing else to read). After reading "The Chamber", a magnificent story, reading "The Partner" was a full of disapointment. There is no personality in each character, no solid reasoning why the hell he stole this money in the first place.... I read a couple of John Grisham's books so far, but this one is the worst.

Summary: Decent. Story line is unrealisticaly perfect. BAD ending
Review: I've read about 5 John Grisham books in last 2 weeks and I am disappointed with many of them. The plots/stories are quite similar among them. As a result, this book was pretty predictable. Overall it was a relatively good read until the last few pages where Grisham left you high and dry with a bad ending which made you feel like you just wasted 10 hours of your time. Many others will agree.

Review: This book did not really catch my eye on the shelf, but i bought it because of what others had said about John Grisham. after reading this book (my first John Grisham) i was compeled to read all of his books. He is a wonderful author. This book is about a man and how he deals with life. It has compeling twists and turns and the end is one to die for.

Review: For all those John Grisham fans out there who have religiously read every book he puts out, this is one you won't be able to put down. Yes, it's typical John Grisham- suspense, action, captivating, edge-of-your-seat thriller- but this one has the best ending I've ever read. I'll say no more, go out and read this book!
