Summary: What a ride! Ending screams for a sequel.
Review: Thank you John Grisham for making my daily commute a lot easier with your wonderful adventures - including "The Partner" which I enjoyed very much. However, the ending, which was probably meant to be a "twist," seemed weak and illogical to me. A sequel is in order - please.

Summary: On your seat until the very last paragraph!
Review: Once again, John Grisham does an amazing job of keeping us in suspense until the very end. The characters are well developed, and the plausibility of the plot is to be commended. It is a must read for all Grisham fans!

Summary: A GREAT THRILLER WITH A CRUSHING ENDING
Review: This book is incredibly fast-paced, and up to par with The Firm. I was utterly outraged with the ending, and it caused me to lay awake all night thinking about it. Obviously, Grisham intended for this reaction and I do applaud him for emotionally drawing me in so tightly. I did like the happy ending of The Firm better, though. Oh and by the way, I think Nicholas Cage should play Patrick.

Summary: first grisham but it won't be the last
Review: this is my first Grisham book i read. I am only 12 but i found it enthralling until the last chapter. Although i thought the ending was a complete let down for the reader i believe grisham did this because Patrick had everything going his way but he lost his true passion in the end. This book was easy to read and i recommend it to people who are looking for a story full of twists. it was a good read!

Summary: Awsome !!
Review: As I read it, I was already thinking of who should act as Patrick, Sandy, Eva, Aricia.. and many others.. Concreat charactor descriptions, behavior analysis, and expression of feelings and emotions. I couldn't wait to finish it in one day. Highly recommended. It's his best so far, in my opinion. And Grisham's habit to use the same expression such as "they stood up in the total unison"..."..,you understand."...And knocking down the wealthy bastards. I loved it. I think John Travolta should play Patrick. How do you think? Do you agree?

Summary: Excellent plot, terrible ending
Review: This was an excellent book, one of Grisham's best, in my opinion. There was only one thing I didn't like and that was the terrible ending. Kirkus Reviews said it was "bittersweet" but it was jusy plain horrible. I wanted to scream!

Summary: GOOD BEGIINNING, BORING IN THE END
Review: FINISHED READING THE BOOK AND I MUST SAY IT IS NOT HIS BEST WORK. I WAS HOOKED AT FIRST BUT AS I CONTINUED IT BECAME PREDICTABLE AND BORING. GREAT BEGINNING BUT AS I WENT ON I LOST INTEREST.
