Summary: Mediocre Grisham
Review: I must say that just about all the older Grisham books where exciting for me. But it seems that he started running out of ideas or just lost the exciting edge as he kept going. This Book is in the middle and has a decent over all story line but takes to long to get there, and drags through the main body. The main character is exciting, yet not fully understood and believable. For the best read stick with the early novels.

Summary: The Runaway Jury
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. From the very beginning, it grabbed my attention and didn't let it go until the very last page. Every character has individual qualities that distinguish them from each other, and they all have their own interesting story. Nicholas Easter, the main character in the novel, intrigued me because of his intelligence and wit. He was able to outsmart attorneys who were paid thousands to outsmart him. His character made this story much more interesting and helped to keep my attention through even the most boring parts of the novel.
I liked how Grisham almost turned this novel into a competition between the jury and lawyers. It was almost as if the two parties were constantly fighting to gain the "upper hand" and outsmart the others. This novel was about more than just a court case, it told the story of several individual characters and showed how a case like this affected their lives. I truly enjoyed reading this book, and I would recommend it to anyone. John Grisham has outdone himself once again.

Summary: Excelent enjoyable reading!
Review: This book starts just like every John Grisham's book, taking you through the whole history of the characters, describing them all and giving the whole idea of what is going to happen in the next 100 pages, as soon as you keep reading it, you realize that not everything you thought is actually happening.

You can get anger by reading it and be happy, this reading will give you many different feelings that you will love, and wont be able to leave it without finishing fast and wanting to read it again.

Definitely a great buy, 5 stars for Grisham!

Summary: A Wonderfully Written Novel
Review: All John Grisham novels are wonderfully written, even Skipping Christmas (which was one of his best), but this one has a chill. Everyone is affected by cigarettes every day, whether it be through buying them or having to be around them, we are all affected by it. If you haven't read this novel yet, then buy, and read it!

Summary: Captavating Read!!
Review: This book was captivating. A vivid light is cast on the legal system making this less an action book and more a thinking book. Very enjoyable. Another classic John Grisham in which the drama is nail biting and riveting right to the end. Believe me, you will not put this book down until you've read it front to back. Although it wasn't as intense as the "Client" or "The Rainmaker", it will keep you interested.

Summary: 12 men good and true?
Review: Nicholas Easter has got himself onto the jury of one of the countrys biggest ever compensation cases, but why is he so interested in the verdict and why is he helping fellow jurors come to a decision.
Everyone has a view on the tobacco company case, but are the jury ordinary honest citizens, and is Nicholas really controlling the show, or is someone else pulling the strings. And the tobacco company, what's at stake if they lose.

Read the runaway jury and these questions will be answered in depth and as an inriguing plot with many turns.

Summary: A Great Grisham Masterpiece!
Review: The Runaway Jury by John Grisham is an excellent book. Full of suspense, doublecrosses, and corruption. It is about a huge tobacco trial and the jury is being corrupted. The main character, Nicholas Easter, is on the jury and holds the verdict in his hands. Through a girl named Marlee, he is making a deal with Fitch, a man hired to ensure a verdict. You think you know what will happen, but will be knocked off your feet. It is, on a scale of one to ten, definitely an eleven.

Summary: Solid Grisham effort, a little preachy, great end suspense
Review: We tend to categorize Grisham’s novels into three groups: fast-paced thrillers, like the “Pelican Brief” and “The Firm”; slow paced dramas, like “The Chamber” and “A Painted House”; and a middle group of “message stories” that mix the characteristics of the other two. “Jury” falls into that third class, featuring mostly courtroom drama but with the intrigue of jury tampering and manipulation thrown in for good measure. It’s also a bit of a “preachy” book as Grisham uses some 500 pages to tell us how bad smoking is (like we didn’t know?). The story deals with a wrongful death case brought by a smoker’s widow against a big tobacco company. While the timely (especially in 1996) premise gets our early attention, there’s probably more details than anybody ever wanted about jury selection and processing, which slows the story down quite a bit. To many readers, the outcome will be worth the wait, as the latter part of the book bristles with suspense.

This is the author’s seventh book of (now) 14. To us it is neither his best nor worst, but a very typical, reasonably good entry in this best-selling genre Grisham practically invented (apologies to Perry Mason!).

Summary: For School
Review: "The Runaway Jury", by John Grisham is about a Tobacco lawsuit, in which a widow sues a tobacco company for the death of her husband. It takes you threw the steps of jury selection and deals with the tactics both sides use to try to turn the odds of the trial to there side. The story mainly deals with the tactics used by the defense to turn the trial in there favor. The main Character for the defense side is a man named Rankin Fitch. He calls all the behind the scenes shots.

The Jury however has a surprise of its own, a man named Nicholas Easter and his partner a mysterious girl named Marlee. She and Nicholas throw the Defense and the jury both threw a few loops. This story keeps people guessing up to the end.

Summary: The Runaway Jury
Review: Politically correct and very up to date! John Grisham's stories are always entertaining, informative and keep you spellbound for hours. The Runaway Jury is one book you find very hard to put down because the more chapters you read, the more you want to find out. It's just that type of a book. I recommend this as a thrilling way of entertaining yourself after a busy workday. It quiets your mind and helps you get refreshed enough to focus on the rest of your day's needs. Enjoy!
