Summary: This book has no protagonist!
Review: I could not empathize with a single character -- they were all too weak, too greedy, and too gullible. The message, which seemed to be, "I'm not responsible for my own life and my own choices, somebody owes me" while ludicrous, is an accurate reflection of real life in the Irresponsible 90's. I wanted something bad to happen to at least one of these whining, conniving wimps

Summary: An excellent thriller and a great plot...
Review: I found this book to be very suspensful. It had a great twist. I enjoyed this book as well as Grisham's others that I just ordered The Partner from Amazon.co

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great, Totally captivating
Review: As a first time reader of a Grisham, and also, me being not a reader in general at all, (This was the first book I ever read willingly, after being inspired by all the great movies made after Grisham's great novels.) I thought this book was good to read. It creats and builds your curiosity to a point where you almost start to belive in Grisham's every word. And begin to wonder is it possible? Then Grisham suddenly hits you with his famous secret brief. It is very enjoyable, especially final 150 pages. Only one question for any one who has read it. Any one think that Saville might also have been influenced by Fitch? (Indian or Pakistani female visiting him, and Fitch eventually dining at an Indian restaurant

Summary: TYPICAL GRISHAM, FAST PACED, VERY READABLE AND FAR-FETCHED
Review: VERY SIMILAR IN STYLE TO HIS PREVIOUS BOOKS, AND LIKE MOST OF THEM, THEY TAKE A SERIOUS SUBJECT AND STRETCH THEM TO THE LIMIT. A VERY ENJOYABLE READ, BUT STILL NOT ON PAR WITH HIS FIRST 3 NOVELS. NOTHING EVER REALLY GOES WRONG FOR THE HERO. I DID ENJOY THE INSIGHTS OF JURY DUTY, ALTHOUGH, THE REALITY IS THAT MOST JURIES AND PROSPECTIVE JURORS ARE TREATED AS SUB CLASS PEOPLE. IF YOU ARE A GRISHAM FAN READ THIS AND IF YOU HAVE NOT READ JOHN GRISHAM BEFORE READ THIS ABOUT 4TH ON THE LIST

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: I found this book very difficult to put down.
Review: John Grisham has a true gift for painting a picture of the scenes he describes. His way with words is second to none! He is full of humor when you least expect it, and he paints a very good picture of the justice system as we know it

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Runaway Jury: Put out too fast
Review: I think the Runaway Jury was a book Grisham was pushed to put out too fast. I was truely disappointed in this book. After reading the Chamber, one of Grishams best, I think the Runaway Jury was a dissapointment. The story didn't really climax and there wasn't much suspense. The end was a good one though. A true surprise. I think that the end saved the book fronm being a total failure.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Grisham's best novels!!!Excellent,
Review: This book is one of his top 3 books in my opinion. Other good ones were "the Client" and "A Time To Kill" I can't get over the greatness of the book. Grisham's creativity is above everyones!!!!if there was a one thousand rating I would give it to this book!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of Grisham's best efforts. A real page-turner.
Review: The Runaway Jury is Grisham at his best. As the pages turn, you become gripped by the story of a jury in a civil suite vs. a large tobacco company. You become privi to the inner thoughts of the jury as they are controlled and manipulated from all sides until they finally reach their verdict. Anyone who loves a good legal thriller, as well as anyone who has strong opinions of the growing tobacco debate, will enjoy this book cover to cover. The Runaway Jury is a real hit

Summary: It S-U-C-K-S !!!
Review: A thorough disppointment! This is my first John Grisham Book, and I utterly hated it . So many people have been buying this book in the bookstore that I frequented, I was led to believe that it must be ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! What a complete waste of money and my time !! For all of you who haven't read the book yet, don't even bother about it. Just read till Chapter 3, then jump to the last chapter, and you'll still get the gist of the story. Grisham did not flesh out the characters fully, and it's very difficult to sympathise with Marlee or any other characters. This book completely turns me off from trying any of his other books!!!

Summary: A masterful yarn that catches current litigation instincts
Review: As a good story should, this human drama moves along at a pace that will rivet a reader's attention and conjure up caricatures all of us can expect to meet in court when big dollars are at stake. Its pace is only matched by the diversity of players all of whom speak, breathe, eat and lie with imaginative conviction. This is a story to savor
