Summary: The best Grisham book ever.
Review: The story takes place in Biloxi, Mississippi. The entire story is all about a multi-million dollar lawsuit that is being heard against a tobacco company. The main purpose of the trial is for a widow whose husband died of lung cancer to get compensation from tobacco companies. Some parts of the story were boring for the fact that one had to listen to the same thing being said many times. Nicholas Easter played a main part in the story by keeping the reader wondering what his next step would be. He was a very intelligent person. Marlee helped to keep the story interesting since she came up with intriguing ideas. This book attacks the tobacco companies more than the lawyers. In reading the stroy, I found it hard to put down. It seemed to hold the reader's interest. Throughout the book, the reader became so involved in the plot he accidentally sides with the plantiff. Mr. Grisham has a purpose in the story and does whatever he has to in order to get the final result that he wants for his readers. Through different chapters of the story, the reader detects the hard work that went into the writing of the book. The book had details of every aspect.

Summary: One of his Best
Review: I just recently started reading Grisham, and i am now a big fan. This is the third novel of his that i have read, and i couldn't put it down. I would deffinitly recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading about scams, greedyness, and jerking twists and turns!!

Summary: A page-turner
Review: I couldn't put this book down. I started reading it and almost didn't put it down till I was done. Very gripping, court room drama that I would recommend to all Grisham fans.

My only gripe was that afterwards as I thought about what I had read, I determined that Marlee and Nicholas seemed to have some pretty decent espionage skills and yet they seemed to have been regular college students two years ago. Silly in retrospect.

However, worth reading. Check it out.

Summary: The Best Grisham Yet
Review: I've read nearly all the Grisham books and this was the best. The plot holds together, the characters, while typically too smart and clever for reality, are likeable. The pacing was excellent -- I couldn't put it down. It shows the seedy side of the tobacco lobby that is too frequently hidden by the media. And it made me wonder about the fact that "somehow" this book has not been made into a movie yet, despite the fact that nearly EVERY other Grisham novel is immediately movie fodder. Doesn't that make you wonder who has paid off whom to prevent it -- and does the book tells a true story after all??

Summary: Excellent court suspsense!!!!!!
Review: This book was excellent, the details and character descriptions were enlightening. The suspense rises to the final verdict. Fitch is one conniving lawyer, but he can't cope with the geniuses like Nicholas and Marlee, who carry the story. They're many other character, but to enjoy the book, don't concentrate on them too deeply.

Summary: Not the best Grisham but a good story!
Review: I have read almost all of the Grisham books and this one falls a little short. The story was good, the ending okay but the characters were well defined and interesting. It must be hard to come up with good ideas after you have written so many great books. It isn't a waste of time to read, just not the best of the bunch.

Summary: This is what made me begin reading John Grisham's work.
Review: It was so well thought out and intricately plotted. I loved it

Summary: Great!!!!
Review: It started out boring (but this was my first Grisham story) and for only being 14 and not doing this for a report, I thought it was one of the greatest stories I have ever read. I will not be shy to read more of Grisham's books and I am looking forward to The Client.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Far and away Grisham's best
Review: While most (in fact everyone except this one) focus on lawyers, the Runaway Jury is squarely set upon jurors and there dealings. I personally think this is the prime reason for this to be Grisham's best though are several others. The characters are memorable and you know where each is coming from. The plot is highly interesting and keeps the book chugging along. In the end if you want the best of Grisham you have to pick up The Runaway Jury.
