Summary: Transfer of Power
Review: This book grabbed my attention from page 1 and held it the whole time! Flynn did a great job with character development, where each character came from and what motivated them. Its not too far a stretch to think these events could actually happen.

Get ready for a great ride!

Summary: Inaccurate facts mar book
Review: I loved Term Limits, so I bought Transfer of Power eagerly. Unfortunately, early on in the book, several glaring, inaccurate "facts" ruin the tone for me. Oman is a Sultanate, ruled by the Sultan; it is not a Kingdom. Without a King in Oman, there are no Princes, so having the main terrorist pose as a Prince of the Kingdom of Oman shows how little Flynn understands the Middle East at all. (Saudi Arabia is a kingdom... lots of Princes there, Vince.)

Summary: Just doesn't cut it...
Review: The action is there, the suspense is there...at the beginning that is. But I kept wanting more - more heart-wretching "are the goods guys going to make it?" thrills. And they just weren't there. The build-up is great... you reach the top of the mountain heart in your mouth... and then it all just fizzles out. Time and time again. It's too bad because the story line is an excellent one.

Summary: Tom Clancy without the boring character development
Review: I am not a big reader... However, I recently took a job that required me to travel forty minutes by train each way every day. I started reading this on Friday and just finished Wednesday. I could not put this book down. The style is very Tom Clancyish. Covert ops, secret service, etc. The big difference is the character development. I have a very good understanding of every character in the book. Flynn did not have to devote fifteen pages to each character to get across their background. The book is well written, fast paced, engaging and fun. I highly recommend it.

Summary: Term Limits
Review: Vince Flynn is my new favorite author! Both his books are fantastic reads. I read one and immediately purchased the other, and cannot wait for his third to come out. As an avid reader of political thrillers, Flynn rivals Clancy, Uris, Ludlam, and is better than Grisham! I am thrilled to have a new author in town!

Summary: Great political thriller
Review: I loved this book! Wandering around a bookstore I saw Term Limits but a worker said that this one was even better. I like books that have clearly delineated lines between good and evil. This one clearly does with the terrorist as evil incarnate and the All-American hero bursting with pride and action for his country.

I read the book in one setting with two bags of popcorn, a milkshake, pasta and cold pizza. The White House intrigues, the whole political scene with the interdepartmental clashes and wounded egos seemed very realistic. I am also glad he has set this in a future administration that seems almost normal. Although it is more likely that a biological attack will be the real culprit this read like a terrorist game plan.

The only fault was the lack of a love story. I'm old-fashioned and still like the hero to court the gal more than their rather standoffish relationship presented here. But there's always the next book!

Summary: Best Thriller I've read in years!
Review: Transfer of Power sweeps you along from the beginning to the end. I couldn't put the book down and read it in two days. The characters in this book come alive and the plot is never predictable. I travel frequently and read about 2-3 books per week. Transfer of Power is the most enjoyable book of its kind I have read this year!

Summary: A Very Readable Book!
Review: I enjoyed this book. It had a good hero with Rapp, a scary villain with Aziz,Vice-President Baxter played his role well. The other central characters also added to the story. I liked the beginning of the book with Rapp and the Seal Team 6 kidnapping the aged terrorist leader. He later turned out to be a valuable source of information. Aziz's actual seizure of the White House while posing as a big donor was also pretty clever. The relationship tha builds between Rapp and the lady journalist also adds to the story. Pretty fast paced action all through the book. The ending of the book is also spectacular. Buy this book, you will like it.

Summary: A thriller from all angles!
Review: Transfer of power was a book that wowed me! it contains so many plot twists that make this book a success. It has covert operations, intricate details about the White House, and suspense from the chase between Mitch and the terrorists. This book read like the movie Air Force One or one of the Die Hards. I felt as if I were watching a movie and could NOT put it down. If you are looking for supense with a political twist, this book is for you!
