Summary: Gripping Thriller
Review: I just finished this book and really enjoyed it. The story pointed up some all too significant problems we have in our government today and wove this into a gripping thriller. I would recommend this book to Clancy Lovers and recommend A Tourist in the Yucatan, which, while different, ia another gripping story...

Summary: Terrific!
Review: The plot is simple enough, terrorist takes over Whitehouse and the US must gain it back, but all the subplots weave in with this simple storyline to make this novel a piece rich in political power struggles, backroom operations, and in the field espionage. There is no sex and minimal violence. Vince Flynn has done it again; I can't wait for his next book.

Summary: Excellent! Fast paced storytelling!
Review: I devoured this novel. The author has done fine work here. In a genre that almost never fails to typify "operators" as blood lusting Rambo-types, Mr Flynn has taken the right path with Mitch Rapp. No undue gunplay. No gratuitous sex scenes. Not too much hokey dialogue.

I look forward to FFlynn's next offering.

Summary: Top rated thriller
Review: Remember when you first read "The Hunt for Red October", how you just couldn't put it down? Then how you anticipated each of Clancy's subsequent novels only to find each one got worse and worse? And then thinking, after a couple years of mediocore thrillers, that there must be another great thriller out there, if you could only find it? Look no further. "Transfer of Power" is about as good as they get.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Riveting Political Thriller
Review: A fast-paced, action-packed thriller. Transfer of Power has all the makings of a blockbuster political thriller and it's written in a language that compliments the fast pace of the novel. If you don't like your thrillers to make you think a little bit, don't buy the book.

Flynn's research on the secrets of the White House is amazing. Rumor has it that Flynn was asked by the government to change certain parts of the book because they were too accurate. Mixing his infallible research with his ability to put the reader inside the skin of his characters, Flynn has concocted a thriller that doesn't disappoint.

In a genre where so many writers can't write, Flynn weaves a twisted tale that leaves your mouth dry.

Summary: A great gosh darn book
Review: this is a great gosh darn book. it was a page-turning, exciting book

Summary: AN UN-THRILLING, POLITICAL THRILLER
Review: What would happen if the White House fell victim to a terrorist attack? Well, that is the plot of this novel.

As the President is shuffled off to his underground bunker for safe keeping, terrorist's are running rampant through the White House, taking everyone hostage.

Mitch Rapp is called in to put and end to the situation, as well as finding out who inside the White House is leaking information.

"Transfer Of Power" has all the ingredient's to be a suspenseful thriller but falls short when putting them all together. The book is peopled with too many characters, and it jumps around to too many locales. The main character (Mitch Rapp) is likable but it is not enough to carry the book.

I was a big fan of Flynn's previous novel, "Term Limits", but I could not get into this novel. The book suffers from lack of punch...there was not enough to hold my attention.

Summary: Transfer Sizzles!
Review: Vince Flynn has followed up his highly successful and highly captivating "Term Limits" with another action packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller, "Transfer of Power."

Flynn explores the nail biting situations in and out of the White House when it is taken over by an extremely intelligent Middle Eastern terrorist. The president's Secret Service agents manage to hide him in a bunker beneath the oval office, but a top-notch safe cracker is working for the terrorists round the clock to open the vault. With the seconds ticking painfully away, the country's only hope is that Special Op's man, Mitch Rapp code name: Ironman, with the aid of a retired Secret Service agent, can thread his way through the secret passageways of the White House and rescue the president before the terrorists get to him.

Vince Flynn is a masterful author who weaves suspense, humor and action throughout every chapter. If you like Robert Ludlum and/or Tom Clancy, you will absolutely love Vince Flynn.

A fabulous read!

Summary: Absolutely great
Review: Having bought Term Limits after hearing Vince Flynn interviewed on 2 separate radio talk shows in the Twin Cities I looked forward to a good read. I was even more surprised when it turned out to be a great read. It was with that enthusiasm that I anxiously awaited Vince's 2nd novel, Transfer of Power. Believe me it doesn't dissapoint. From start to finish it was a fast paced page turner. The writing style is technical without being cryptic. The charachters draw you into a plot with more twists and turns than a roller coaster. The suspense will keep you spellbound until the very end. I can hardly wait for his next novel.
