Summary: A book that you never want to finish.......
Review: This book has to be one of the best I've ever read. In fact, I just finished it for the second time. When it first came out, I gave it to a friend to read. After a few weeks I asked her what page she was on in the book. She was almost done with it. After another few weeks I asked her again what page she was on. She was still finishing it up. She was only reading one page a day. She did not want it to end. I told her to finish it! I had other people in line to read it!

Summary: A GREAT HISTORICAL NOVEL
Review: This book is a must for anyone interested in medieval history, but does not have the interest in learning dates. I particularly enjoyed Follet's attention to detail regarding 12th Century architecture and construction. Should be requried reading in high school!!!

Summary: Fantastic, mesmerising, unputdownable!
Review: This is a fascintating account of the 12th century and while it may be gory in places, the truth of the matter is that these things really did happen and are still happening. The Pillars of the Earth gives you an insight into human nature and if people really were like that in the 1100's (my guess is they were), we really havent changed all that much in 800 years. An absolute must for fiction lovers and don't let the size daunt you, it is worth it.

Summary: One of the best books I've ever read!
Review: Who would have thought a story taken place in the 14th century would be this terrific! It is a book I remember quite vividly. The whole family has read it and loved it young and old alike!

Summary: An Enthralling Journey Through 12th-Century England
Review: This was my first Ken Follett book, and I was very impressed! The characters are vividly portrayed, and the reader truly empathizes with their struggles and triumphs. Mr. Follett also provides a fascinating look at life in 12th-century England, and cathedral architecture. An engaging read which I'd heartily recommend to anyone!

Summary: Exhilarating! enthralling!
Review: This book takes me back to a time I am in awe with. The detail in which Follet expresses each character, place, and event is intemperate and very accurate with a personal flavour. I would love to see this story made into a block buster movie.

Summary: The best book I have ever read.
Review: Absolutely a "can't put it down" book. I didn't want it to end. Hopefully there will be a sequel. Skillfully told, artfully crafted, beautifully intertwined.

Summary: The plot was so twisted and exciting!!!!
Review: I wish I could give this book more stars. You never know where this plot will turn next. It is by far one of the best (if not the BEST) books I've ever read! Adventure, danger, love, honor, these are all words that come to mind when I think of this story.

Summary: Ken Follet made me interested in hisory!!!!!!
Review: I read "Pillars of the Earth" for my History class in college over 5 years ago. I loved the book and learned to like history. I was able to viualize what it was like to live in midevil times. Before that class I had very little interest in history. Thanks Ken Follet.
