Summary: Good story but a little too dark
Review: Ms. French seems to enjoy writing books in this genre. I just finished reading Wayne's Dead which was a story I found to be a bit on the 'severe' side, that is to say, until, I finished reading her, Chasing Demons. I usually enjoy a good thriller but not when the writer takes the storyline overboard. Not only was the storyline a bit overdone, but more attention should have been given to the editing of this book. Bottom line, Chasing Demons is a good story but a little too dark for my tastes.

Review: Oh my God...I started this book thinking I'd read for a while before going to bed...HA...easy to say but boy was this book hard to put down! Needless to say I lost sleep that night just trying my best to finish the story before daybreak. The one night's sleep I lost was well worth it! Ms. French get's my vote for BESTSELLING NEW WRITER of 2004!

Review: "Chasing Demons" is a must-read for any lover of romance, romantic suspense, or books with plenty of thrilling action. The characters are wonderfully portrayed. Kendra Salvatori is a woman who has lived with an abusive husband for 12 years, yet has continued to keep herself strong and mentally free of his control. Her husband, Tony, a vicious man who expects to be obeyed and pleased, becomes insanely out of control when Kendra escapes from him. Garth Fisher is a sensitive, caring man who is passionate in his quest to ensure Kendra never returns to her domineering husband. Tony's bodyguard Vincent is a man toughened by life who sees himself as a protector of the innocents of the world. This is a fast, entertaining read. I guarantee, once you pick this book up and start to read, you will not want to put it down until you're finished. And you'll still be thinking about it after you finish! What a fantastic movie this would make!

Summary: Great Book!
Review: I was looking for a new author to read and a friend suggested I try Ms. French, so I gave "Chasing Demons" a try. This is a great book - lots of action-filled suspense interspersed with the delicately blossoming love between Kendra, who is running from her Godfather-wannabe husband, Tony Salvatori, and Garth Fisher, a retired policeman who cannot get past a tragic mistake in his career. Ms. French is great with the characters she writes as well as dialect. The book is one that kept me entertained from start to finish. The story moves quickly until Tony locates his wife, then it seems to just streak. Highly recommended. I'm ordering Ms. French's previous two books. Her writing style is great.

Summary: Real Page-Turner
Review: I found "Chasing Demons" exciting from the very beginning. The characters are just wonderfully portrayed, from Kendra, the abused wife who finds the strength to escape from her mobster husband, then transforms herself into a stronger person, to Tony, Kendra's husband, a violent, power-mad gangster, to Garth, the long-suffering former hostage negotiator. The story is well-paced and by the time Tony does locate his wife, the story seems to fly. I was so caught up in it by that time, I was flipping through the pages as fast as I read them, anxious to see what was going to happen next. Ms. French is an author I intend to read more, and I highly recommend this action-packed suspense.

Review: I, too, have read all of the FANTASTIC writer's books and have enjoyed all of them BUT this book is my favorite! Take the time today to stop what you are doing and order your copy, you'll be thrilled that you did! This lady is one seriously TALENTED writer! I just love her!!!

Review: Christy French has proven herself to be one mighty-fine writer in my opinion. She only continues to get better and better with her entertaining stories. Ms. French is one talented new writer!
I really think she has done a fabulous job going from genre to genre and no matter what genre she is writing the reader is quickly pulled into the story right from the very first page.
If you enjoy romantic suspense novels then CHASING DEMONS is a book you don't want to miss!!!
I know you will love this story as much as I did!!!

Review: In a nutshell, this one's got suspense, romance, action, adventure, plenty of interesting characters and a great setting, all encompassed within a fast-paced story that kept me reading. I read where this book is going to be published in Japan this year, so congratulations on that, Ms. French. As a writer wannabe, I know what a coup that is.

Review: My book club chose "Chasing Demons" to read for January and was it ever a good choice (thanks, Janie!). This book delivers on romance and suspense with plenty of thrilling action. The plot is wonderful - an abused woman fleeing her violent, very powerful husband, her knowledge he will eventually locate her and determination to be a stronger woman able to stand up to him when he does, and her discovery of real love. The characters are great, the story excellent, and the read one that goes by fast. Loved it!

Review: This is a fast paced energetic good book. I have read all of this author's books and have found all of them to have great characters and interesting story lines. Once you start one of her books its hard to put it down. I believe that Ms. French is an up and coming serious talent.
