Summary: My Kind of Romantic Suspense
Review: I loved this author's thriller "Wayne's Dead", which is my favorite genre, so ordered her other two, even though they're not in the same genre. "Chasing Demons" is the best kind of romantic suspense - plenty of action, good characters as well as evil ones, a beautiful backdrop, great dialogue, and a tender love story. Great book that I did not want to put down until I was finished and even then wanted it to continue. French is great with characters and giving a fast-paced, exciting read. Love her!

Summary: Fantastic Romantic Suspense
Review: I love suspense, and "Chasing Demons" does not disappoint in that regard. The evil, villainous Tony's thirst for power and control steadily leads to insanity as he searches for his missing wife. The gentle, sweet love that develops between Kendra and Garth gives the reader respite against Tony's crazed search. The story builds until near the end, when Tony finds Kendra and finds she is not the same woman he had dominion over. I enjoyed the transition with Kendra as she became stronger and began to prepare for the eventual confrontation with her husband, along with her spirituality. Garth is a wonderful character - long-suffering, trying to redeem a past tragedy, who falls deeply in love with Kendra and vows to protect her. Vincent is one of my favorite characters - a mobster with a soft heart. The last chapters of this book moved so quickly and were so suspense-laden, I could not put it down. Fantastic book!

Review: Chasing Demons was one of the most engrossing reads! I am still thinking about this story long after I finished the book. The characters and the plot stay with the reader for a long time. At other times her gentle approach to a developing romance lulls and soothes us as we follow the twisting path of love between two deserving characters. For readers who are just beginning the mystery romance novel this book is a wonderful treat and for those "tried and true" fans, the plot is never disappointing. To add satisfaction, there is a clever twist in the book's unexpected ending! Don't peek! Summary: Great Book!
Review: I was looking for a new author to read and a friend suggested I try Ms. French, so I gave "Chasing Demons" a try. This is a great book - lots of action-filled suspense interspersed with the delicately blossoming love between Kendra, who is running from her Godfather-wannabe husband, Tony Salvatori, and Garth Fisher, a retired policeman who cannot get past a tragic mistake in his career. Ms. French is great with the characters she writes as well as dialect. The book is one that kept me entertained from start to finish. The story moves quickly until Tony locates his wife, then it seems to just streak. Highly recommended. I'm ordering Ms. French's previous two books. Her writing style is great.
