Summary: My Favorite Book Ever
Review: This book is the most touching of NR I have ever read. I dont know, maybe because this is my first Nora Roberts to ever read, but this one always stands out in my mind as the best. Roxy and Luke are great. Personally, Luke is my favorite character. He just touches the heart from the first chapter of the book. Max and Lily are great too. If you love emotional books...READ THIS ONE.You won't be dissapointed

Summary: slow for a Nora Roberts book
Review: This book was recommended to me by someone who reads and loves Nora Roberts. I checked the rating here at Amazon before starting the book. I was totally disappointed with this book. It was slow and somewhat boring and I cannot see how it earned a 5 star rating.

Summary: One of Nora's Best
Review: This is definatly one of my three favorite books by Nora Roberts, and I've read quite a few.
It is a story about a young boy, Luke, who is twelve years old at the beginning of the story. He is an abused child who has ran away from home, and pick-pockets for a living. He is at a carnival one day, and goes to see the magic show, where the magician, Max, sees him pick-pocketing the audience. Instead of calling the cops, Max takes him in as a son, and teaches him magic. Max has a daughter of his own, Roxanne, who is eight at the beginning. The book follows Luke and Roxanne through childhood, and grows into a really great love story between the two. There is also a second love story between Max, and Lilly, a woman who is a mother to Luke and Roxanne, and is also part of the magic show. The book has several exciting twists, and you never know quite what to expect. I don't want to give away the ending, so all else I'll say is . . . If you like romance stories, love Nora Roberts, or just want to read a really good book, then this would definatly be a good pick.

Summary: not so great
Review: This is one of my least favorite Nora Roberts books. It's not my least favorite, but one of the bottom five. I recommend instead her Three Sisters triology. They were all great!

Summary: a great story from beginning to end!
Review: This is possibly the best book i ever read. the story gracefully goes through the years in the lives of the two main characters. You get swept up in the romance of it all, but thats not the only thing that is going on. The book isnt just about romance it has so many other factors in it as well the book doesnt always center on Roxy and Luke, which is why i liked it so much there was enough going on to make the book different from a sappy love story, i really got into the characters and felt like i lived their lifes with them... i would recommend this book to anyone!!

Summary: half-perfect
Review: this is the first nora roberts long novel i've read (i tried her category romance before) and i must admit i got hook with the first half. roberts has the ability to captivate her audience with her characters. but the flashback is tooooo long. there are so many unnecessary plotpoints. she should have cut the flashback and get back to the present. and the motivations of the characters in the second have became muddled. luke callahan agreed to disappear but in the next chapter, he appeared again (though five years had elapsed). and why can't he tell roxanne the truth? that he had been set up and blackmailed by the antagonist! and why can't roxanne tell luke that they have a child. this what pisses me off! when characters keep secrets from other characters. and i can't believe that the villain sam wyatt, after years of planning revenge, just asked luke to disappear. aw, c'mon!

Summary: I LOVE NORA ROBERTS
Review: This is/was one of my most favorite Nora Roberts books. The characters are funa nd exciting. The plot is different. Although filled with love, it is not too mushy. I think that the relationships between daughter and father and cook and man are very realistic. I enjoyed this book and have read it several times (which not something I usually do!).

Summary: A personal favorite
Review: This story spans decades in the lives of Luke Callahan and Roxanne Nouvelle, two magicians whose love story is both poignant and magical. I am continually moved and touched by the love of Luke and Roxy. Nora Roberts superbly writes a story of love, adventure, revenge, and forgiveness. I loved all of the characters! The story of the Nouvelles as carnies, magicians, and jewel thieves was unforgettable. Honest Illusions is one of my favorite novels-one I shall always treasure!

Summary: Amazing
Review: This story will break your heart and then just...well I can't even explain the feeling of finishing this book-it's just SO amazing. I have read this book at least twice and have absolutely fallen in love with Luke and Roxy. I love how the book takes you throughout their lives. This is such a rich read that has just taken my heart and never let it go.
