Summary: I love Luke and Roxy.
Review: I read the reviews and was so anxious to read the book but I forgot to order it, but luck came my way a week ago and tonight I just finished it, and had to give to give it 5 stars. Fantastic characters, great plot, fantastic buildup and last but certainly not least a very smooth landing and great ending. No murders, just certain people getting their due justice. I will read one of Nora's books any day, but I'm waiting now for Three Fates to come out in paperback. Keep on writing fantastic books Nora because I will be reading them. This review was based on the trade paperback.

Review: I think this is one of Nora Robert's best books. The plot is rich and full of suspense from beginning to end. The characters are well developed and the book as a whole is intriguing. Luke's character especially is full of mystery and allure.

I've read a lot of her books but Honest Illusons struck me as the most beautifully touching one of all. It is an experience to grow up with the hero and the heroine, to live their lives with them, to cry when they're down and cheer when there's a happy ending. All this can be found in Honest Illusions, and much much more. The magic in the book is more than the tricks and illusions that Luke, Roxy and Max display, it's also the magic of life and living ... masterfully constructed to give every reader his or her heart's dreams. If you only read one romance-thriller-mystery in your life, this is it

Summary: Sexy, Sweet, and Spectacular
Review: I've read 88 of Roberts' books and this is by far the best. You've got crime and magic. Betrayal, undying love, and long lasting friendship. Luke and Roxy are easy characters to love. They argue and bicker and annoy the hell out of each other before they realize that they've always been in love, despite their near sibling relationship. They make you laugh they make you cry and the book is impossible to put down. From someone who is obsessed with romance novels, this is without a doubt one of the best.

Review: I've read a few of Nora Roberts' books, but I would have to agree with those who say this is her best yet. So intensely readable, I found myself reading when I should have been doing something else, which is a good sign of a book's appeal to me. The characters are so likable and well developed.

Review: I've read almost every Nora Roberts book i can get my hands on, and this is clearly one of her best and one of the best mainstream romance novels I've ever read. The story takes place all over the world from a small town carnival to New Orleans to france. It talks about a family of magicians who adopts a poor run-away boy, and the coming of age story of the boy-Luke and the magician's daughter-Roxanne. the story tells of how they fall in love, and first became partners in magic then in love and finnaly in crime. The story is truly well writen and a real page turner.

Summary: The best of all of Nora's books!
Review: If I could give this book 10 stars, I definitely would. This is the BEST that Nora's written. I've read this book three times and fall in love with the story and the characters all over again each time I read it. I love how Max teaches Luke to trust again after his unhappy childhood. I love how they don't want to steal from the people on the cruise because they fall in love with them, too. This is one book I didn't want to end. I just adored every minute of this book. I wish it could be a movie -- how charming.
