Rating: Summary: wonderful contemporary romance Review: Patience Sinclair looks forward to her time away from the Boston area partly due to the stalking of her by Tyler Stanfield, but mostly because of the opportunity to complete her thesis research on Women in Western History by being part of a rodeo. In Texas, Patience gets off on the wrong foot with rodeo superstar Dallas Kingman who writes her off as a pretty "buckle bunny".However, as Patience and Dallas become better acquainted an attraction blossoms, but both know that nothing can come of it because he is western cowboy and she is sophisticated Bostonian. Still with Tyler closing in on her, Dallas needs to keep the woman he loves safe though the eastern tenderfoot keeps surprising him with her courage, her knowledge of the west and even her riding skills, but most of all how she makes him feel. Now to persuade the wannabe professor they can make a life together even if she is New England and he is southwest. Though the Tyler subplot is a nuisance to a wonderful contemporary romance with a pinch of late suspense, fans will enjoy this gender battle between Massachusetts and Texas (sounds like the presidential race) because the lead pair is a delightful charming duo whether they love or squabble. The story line is at its top when the rodeo setting is in the forefront, which is much of the tale. Kat Martin furbishes a wonderful tale that adds luster to her career as did the previous Sinclair sister's story in MIDNIGHT SUN. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: 2 for 2 Review: This book was really good. It is the 2nd in a trilogy by Kat Martin. The third book is to come out this year, I believe.
Patience and Dallas are a great couple. Of course, there are the typical trials and tribulations as in every romance novel, and add a little suspense with a stalker, and you'll have a hit.
This book I could not put down. It's not my favorite Kat Martin book, but this ranks well up there. Buy it. You will not be disappointed. :)
Rating: Summary: My Favorite In The Series So Far.... Review: This has been my favorite so far in Ms. Martin's new series. Who dosen't love a cowboy? In my opinion Ms. Martin combines just the right amout of suspense, and the right amount of information surrounding rodeo to make this a page turning read. The chemistry between Dallas and Patience was wonderful and Ms. Martin developed their relationship slowly but I feel that this added to their romance. There is a good suspense storyline. Patience is being stalked and when she escapes to the west in order to follow the rodeo circuit for her dissertation she thinks she has left her problems behind. Problem is it looks as if she may have jumped from the frying pan into the fire. The Circle C Rodeo seems to be plauged by accidents and it's not long before Dallas and Patience are caught right in the middle. Secondary characters as well as secondary storylines are entertaining and in no way detract from the main storyline of Dallas and Patience. I can hardly wait for the next in this series and highly recommend this read until the mean time.

Rating: Summary: where's MY Dallas? Review: This is my first Kat Martin book, and I loved it! I'm not much for 'sappy' romance novels and to me, this one wouldn't quite fall into that category. I agreed with some of the other reviews in saying I learned things about the west and the rodeo I would not have known otherwise. I could not put the book down any time the story shifted to the two main characters Dallas and Patience encountering each other, especially in the beginning, watching the attraction of these two opposites (who aren't really all that opposite afterall) start to grow. I was totally drawn into it. Great romance, educational, interesting characters...two thumbs up! I plan to read Kat Martin's first book in this trilogy called 'Midnight Sun'.
Rating: Summary: Not impressed Review: This was my first Kat Martin book and will probably be my last. I bought this book after reading all of the glowing reviews it got and boy was I disapointed! The characters had potential but the authuor chose to focus on the mystery instead. The drama was not believable, I mean how many accidents can possibly happen to one group of people over the course of a summer?
It seems like every book I pick up recently is a romantic suspense and some of the authors just need to write romance stories and stop wasting their time and mine with mediocre crime drama.
