Summary: Couldn't Put It Down!!
Review: I loved this book. I think the author could make a series out of the characters. I certainly would enjoy that.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: Do Not Waste Your Money
Review: I only read to page 44 but that was enough for me. This book needed major editing before being released. There were too many plot inconsistencies for me to continue to read.

1. On page 13 about 7 hours after needing stitches in her knee she is wearing fake leather capri pants. Please - her knee would be too swollen and we won't even get into the whole fashion issue of fake leather capri pants.

2. On page 20 - What happened to the green glop? She is getting hair and nails done and her hands are soaking in green glop. Taylor then eats a Belgian truffle (yuck). Next, Sunny checks out Taylor's fingernails and talks about that are bitten down to stubs. The green glop has mysteriously disappeared.

3. On page 44 - During a robbery/hold up situation when the Jack walks in the bad guys state the store is closed for inventory. Everyone is going along with this everything is normal routine until the bad guy states "One more word and she will get a bullet". Maybe he was just one of those stupid criminals and did not remember the routine.

I had other problems with the book including that Taylor obviously needed therapy to get over her abandonment issue due to being adopted. The book might get better but I am not going to read anymore to find out.

A Big Disappointment.

Summary: engaging romantic suspense
Review: In Marin County, California suspense thriller author Taylor O'Toole almost dies when her rock climbing equipment fails. Taylor wonders if married scientist Harris Raines, the boyfriend of her guide Candace, sabotaged the bolts, especially when the pro checked it the night before. Over the smell of lasagna, Taylor meets her new neighbor, Jack Broussard.

Taylor furtively follows Harris as the scientist meets with nasty looking individuals. Unbeknownst to Taylor, Jack, an undercover Navy SEAL, trails her. When an incident occurs in a market, Jack intercedes to save Taylor's life. As Taylor realizes she is being stalked, she turns to Jack, her only hope to remain alive though he captures her heart. However, he is working a covert operation to rescue a missing scientist and to stop Harris from doing something odious.

HOT PURSUIT, the sequel to MY SPY, is an engaging romantic suspense that will thrill readers with its non-stop action and exhilarating intrepid lead characters. Taylor, the sister to the female star of the first novel, is courageous yet somewhat foolish. Her antics make the tale soar though the audience will question why she shadowed Harris in the first place. Still, this is romantic suspense at its finest as the readers plenty of thrills inside a wonderful story of love.

Summary: WOO-HOO!
Review: Mystery writer Taylor O'Toole had already hit the Best Seller list several times, thanks to her zany characters. The deadline for the next in her series was near, however, it would have to wait. Taylor had promised a girlfriend that she would do a bit of surveillance work for her. It should have been simple. Instead, it landed Taylor into the path of a stalker. Yet whenever things turned bad her sexy new neighbor always seemed to be close by to save the day.

Navy SEAL Jack Broussard had a top secret assignment: Protect Taylor O'Toole! Jack was used to hand-to-hand combat, covert missions, and doing whatever it took to get his mission done. Babysitting a mystery writer was NOT suppose to be something that required the deadly talents of a SEAL. But Taylor could be the key link in the government search for a missing Navy scientist. So like it or not, his orders were to keep her safe - at all costs! WOO - HOO! Action, romance, and more action await readers in this novel! There are a few cameos from Annie and Sam McKade. Annie is Taylor's sister, if you recall, from the book "MY SPY". Izzy Teague, the electronic genius, is back as well and has major parts in the story. Word has it that Izzy will get his own story written in the future. Meanwhile, author Christina Skye lets us learn more about this mysterious man.

Jack and Taylor are well matched. Both are stubborn and tenacious to a fault. Their story is nonstop adventure from page one (ROCK CLIMBING) to the last. Highly recommended reading here. If the cover says "Christina Skye", just BUY IT. You will never be disappointed! ...

Summary: Reviewer Desmond is an idiot!
Review: These spiteful reviewers, I do declair! Hot Pursuit, by Christina Skye is one terrific writer and her book is exciting, fast-paced, and easy on the eyes! You owe it to yourself to read this story!

Summary: Such a disappointment.
Review: This book starts out promising, but then goes nowhere. Too many threads of the story line are introduced, but never followed up, such as Jack's culinary skills, which could have been used to humanize him, or the fact that Taylor finds out she is adopted. My biggest complaint is that there is very little about Taylor that is likeable. Her selfish, irresponsible behavior gets others killed and she doesn't seem to ever learn anything from it. I guess this is suppose to show how head-strong and loyal her character is, but I almost couldn't finish the book because of it. We never get inside Jack's head at all, so there isn't much appealing about him either, except that he is physically a hunk.

I enjoyed Skye's Draycott Abbey series, so it is too bad this series has been such a disappointment (2000 Kisses was terrible also).

Summary: Fun, fast, entertaining.....
Review: This one will be on my keepers shelf.... it's part of Christina Skye's Navy SEAL series & I think it's been the best one yet. (Although I will have to admit that it's been a while since I've read the other two... 'Going Overbaord' and 'My Spy'). 'Hot Pursuit' kept me entertained with all the things I look for in a action romance - action, adventure, quick wit, sexy-as-all-get-out hero, intelligent heroine (except once in this story), very hot, hot love scenes (enough to make this girl fan herself!). The ending was well-rounded and really surprised me - but I'll have to admit that one of my questions was not answered...but I can't say what it was or it would be a spoiler.
Anyway, if you like fast action romance, do this one!
