Rating: Summary: Absolutely perfect Review: This book was absolutely wonderful. I have read several of Nora Roberts' books and this is my favorite! She develops her characters and setting in such a way that makes you fall in love with the characters and feel as if you are there with them. I could not put this book down, and I would recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Starts of great, then dies. Review: I'm a big fan of Nora Roberts writing as J.D. Robb. But this was my first "regular" Roberts book. The Reef started out wonderfully with the underwater murder of Matthew Lassiter's father. Bringing Uncle Buck and Matthew together with amateur treasure hunters, Ray and Marla Beaumont, and their gorgeous daughter, Tate was terrific. I couldn't put the book down. I loved the intrigue, the heartbreak of Matt and Tate. But after their initial break-up, when they see each for the first time in years, the story (their relationship, the mystery of the evil Silas VanDyke) petered out. I really wanted to like this book more. Will definitely sample another Roberts' book, though.
Rating: Summary: Wow Review: This was one of the best yet! I loved it. It kept my interest all the way through. I would recommend this to everyone. I couldn't put it down. The characters are great. I fell in love with Matthew. This is a must read!
Rating: Summary: Slow to start, but picked up Review: I was pleasantly surprised by this book. I was not familiar with Roberts's work, but assumed this was a cheesy romance. However somthing about the cover intrigued me into buying it. I'm glad that I did. Although the story was slow to start once it got going i couldn't put it down. There were a couple twists that I never saw coming which made the book that much more enjoyable. I recomend it especially if you enjoy the whole warm water, sunny sky setting.
Rating: Summary: Great story, wonderful characters, you can't put it down Review: This is one of the best stories ever implanted into a romance novel. You'll love the characters and the adventure.
Rating: Summary: A Perfect Story Review: The Reef by Nora Roberts has to be the perfect book. I couldn't stop reading it, and hated it when the story ended. The story is divided into three sections: the past, the present and the future; combined beautifully for a wonderful story. Loaded with suspense, mystery, romance and hot sex scenes, Ms. Roberts writing is so descriptive that the reader feels as if they are diving off shore surveying shipwrecks themselves. Truly, an excellent novel!
Rating: Summary: A Bit Dissappointing Review: As a normal Roberts book you would expect this one to grab u by the heart, but it is a washout. It leaves you dissatisfied in the end. If you want a Roberts, go for the Born in... or the Tempelton series.... or my all time favorite... Hidden Riches. The Reef is not nearly as good... falls below expectations just like Homeport... But I'll never stop reading Roberts... she enthralls me with her language and her books. I'm still a faithful fan! Forever!
Rating: Summary: Disguised romance novel Review: This book belongs in the romance novel section. While the story line is interesting it didn't take long for the 'heaving breasts' and 'burning loins' to make the book unreadable. The book was full of stereotypical romance novel garbage without any redeeming values. I gave it one star but it didn't deserve that much. I'll never buy a book written by Nora again.
Rating: Summary: Hokey. Review: This book was cheese, pure cheese. There was nothing in it that made me think, or made me want to keep reading except for the fact that I wanted to see how they were going to beat they bad guy (you knew it was going to happen, it's one of those books). As said before, it was a cookie cutter book. None of the characters seemed identifiable, and the plot was just a variation to the classic. Boo on this book.
Rating: Summary: Intriguing, sexy, and adventurous! Review: I am a Nora Roberts' fan and I absolutely loved this book! :) It was pretty boring at the beginning but if u love reading romance books you would read further on. Wow! It was wonderful! Exciting events occured, great plot, and interesting characters. The book was just wonderful and in my opinion, this is one of her best books that she has so far written. She is a wonderful author and i hope she continues on with her success and great skill. :)
