Rating: Summary: Diving for Gold Review: Readers will unearth gems (pardon the pun!) in this book about divers salvaging shipwrecks for treasures.
Tate, a marine archaeology student, joined her parents one summer searching for undiscovered shipwrecks. They became partners on their adventure with Matthew Lassiter and his uncle, a famed family of salvagers who've had their share of bad luck. The team struck gold when they managed to find a wreck with all its treasures but tragedy hit when a member of the expedition was badly injured. Tate and Matthew were driven apart in the aftermath of the tragedy as their treasure trove were stolen by an evil man searching for a priceless neckless.
Years later, sparks fly between the two once again when Tate's father asked his former partners, Matthew and his uncle, to join them on another expedition to find a legendary shipwreck that is rumored to hold the necklace called Angelique's Curse. Their love was put to the test as the insane man lurks, ready to pounce and grab everything for himself yet again.
One thing you can be sure of when reading a Nora Roberts book is that it will be like no other that she has written, unless of course it is a trilogy or series. Every book has own unique story line and its own stamp of excellence. The Reef is no different.
Rating: Summary: Exciting book! Review: I love this book by Nora Roberts. This and the Three Fates are my favorites of hers, and I've read quite a few of them the past year or so (when I first discovered her books!). I didn't know if I'd like this book because, usually, I don't have much interest in deep-sea diving, treasure hunt stories, but this was so interesting, fascinating, exciting, romantic, and lovely. I loved Tate and her innocence and spunk. Her parents were sweethearts, and Matthew was awesome. I think this book was not the typical romance because Tate and Matt didn't hit it off right at the beginning, or really towards the middle. They got together just after the middle of the book, and I found that intriguing. I loved the adventure and despised Van Dyke. It was great! A great page-turner!
Rating: Summary: Fun Summer Read!! Review: I read this on my honeymoon while we were in the Caribbean. Lots of fun and suspense in this book. I could hardly put it down!! Really a good book.
Rating: Summary: Loved it! Review: I loved the adventure in this book. Diving for treasure is exciting enough, but then Tate is paired up with Matthew and the tension begins to heat up. Roberts' characters are real and enjoyable, I loved Tate and Matthew, and adored Tate's parents. Matthew's uncle was a quite a character as well. This is a great read - one of my favorites by Nora Roberts.
