Summary: This series keeps getting hotter!
Review: The "Deadly" series as a whole has been extremely enjoyable but I find with each new installment, it keeps getting better and better. If you're like me, the triangle between Fran/Rick/Calder has become the most important aspect of the series. There are some very entertaining secondary characters and the mysteries in each book are attention grabbers by themselves, however, the part I am most interested in seeing resolved is whether Fran will end up with Calder! That's what keeps me biting my nails until the next book! Deadly Caress reveals a little more than the other "Deadly" books but it leaves enough out to drive you insane with anticipation! If you're new to this series, Do Not Begin with this book! You must start with the first installment in order to truly appreciate where I'm coming from! However, starting at the beginning and working your way up to Deadly Caress, I assure you, is worth it!

Summary: Captivating......Never a Dull Moment!
Review: The bad boy, Calder Hart and the honest, self-righteous police commissioner, Rick Bragg are at it again, fighting for the affections of Francesca Cahill. Who will she end up with? Ms. Joyce keeps you guessing, but it seems there is a turning point to this love triangle in this 5th installment. I think that Francesca will definitely go with Hart. She hss beem so fascinated with him since she met him. Hart was in the story line more than Bragg, too. Most important, Hart seems to care about Francesca a great deal since he is always trying to protect her from Bragg since he thinks that her infatuation with him will be her destruction. I always thought the hero should end up wtih the heroine, but if Francesca does end on with the antagonist of the story, it might not be bad either since Hart is so much more intriguing.
Does Bragg really love Francesca or love his wife, Leigh Anne? That is the question evolving around this series. You get a better understanding of Bragg's and Leigh Anne's relationship. And it just might be the end of Francesca and Bragg since she has begun to accept Hart and she thinks Bragg should stay with his wife.
It is confusing at times when Francesca's heart is with Bragg, but her body is yearning for Hart. That does not make sense to me since I think when you really love someone, how can you be lusting after someone else? It also makes me conclude if Francesca reall loves Rick Bragg at all.
I am relieved to find out Connie & Neil have solved his infidelity problem because that was just dragging way too long. I mean if she can't bear to leave him, then she sould learn to forgive him instead of making a big deal out of nothing.
The mystery part was good, but it could of been better. I was disappointed that Francesca did not know who was the city strangler, afterall, she is crime-solver extraoidinaire. I mean I even guessed it half way through the book.

Summary: Just GRREEAATT!!
Review: The wait for this book was worth it. This author has yet to let me down with any of her books whether it be a historical or a contemporary. And I must add that I am not the biggest fan of contemporary romance but when it comes to Brenda Joyce I am. The sparks between Calder and Fran are just amazing. I like the fact that a good part of this book is spent in dealing with the attraction between Fran and Calder. It was about time. But, I hate to give away more. The book was excellent.

Summary: Fran - You go Girl!!
Review: This is a great book. I had trouble with how Francesa was relating to Bragg in the last book. But she really redeems herself in this book. Even though Leigh Ann is a schemmer, she is still Bragg's wife. And he obviously still wants her in bed. Bragg wants his cake and eat it to! I am glad Fran woke up to Bragg and got on with her life. I sure hope she and Calder get married. They are really great together. It would be nice to really know why Bragg and Calder don't get along. The fact of the father issue seems a little far fetch. I hope Evan is smart enough to see through the Countess and see that Mrs. Kennedy is a catch even though she has 4 kids. Sarah and Rourke would be a good match. I hated when the book ended. I can't believe we have to wait until the fall for the next installment. Oh well. Brenda Joyce hurry, hurry with more.

Summary: So far the best of the Francesca Cahill series
Review: This is simply the best book in the series, mostly because it feels as though author Brenda Joyce has decided on the direction in which Francesca's romantic life should head in. Francesca comes out a stronger heroine, one less ambivalent about her romantic future.

I couldn't put this book down at all. The thiller was good, but the romantic tension was better!

Summary: Deadly Caress
Review: This series keeps getting better and better! I would recommend that all the "deadly" books are read in order. They have a really good blend of romance and mystery. The characters are easy to get invested in,leaving you waiting impatiently for the next installment. You can also get the Bragg history from an earlier series.

Summary: Mmm Mmmm Good!!
Review: This was by far the best Cahill book yet! The lives get more tangled, we finally get to see that Rick isn't oh-so-perfect. I for one never bought his "Perfect Man" persona, and francesca's obsession with him. Of course I'm always a fan of the bad boy, and Calder Hart is just that. The love scenes, and chemistry are far more believable between fran and calder. But will they get together in the end? Will Sara get together with Rourke? Who will get Evan, Witchy Bartolla or Sweet Mrs. Kennedy? Will there ever be a happy ending or completion to any of these stories? Will some dastardly murderer finally do in Ms. Cahill when she gets into one tangle too many? And who will be there to save her?Who knows? You'll want to I'm certain! And of course Ms. Joyce leaves you wanting more, and more, and more.

Summary: Not What I Thought it would be!!!
Review: Well I was looking forward to reading the latest episode but I don't know -- maybe I got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning... or something..
But all of a sudden Francesca just irritates me all to heck. She is what? 20 years old and this is the victorian age... I live in the 21st century and I don't give that much credit for maturity to a 20 year old of this era... I can't imagine that Francesca has any more idea of what life is all about.
And Rick Bragg, he has some high minded ideas about his life, he won't have anything to do with his wife but boy does she turn him on... So he will live with this woman that he hates and oh yes lusts after with a passion for 6 months just so he can get his divorce... Well this just doesn't do it for me.. I am sorry. He deserves his wife and all his social prestige.. Francesca should go take a tour of Europe or something and grow up. Her sister also needs to grow up.. She has had two kids and is ashamed to enjoy sex. Well can this get any worse.. No I didn't finish the book...
Sorry Brenda I do love your books but this goes over the top.. It is more than I can take.. I won't be reading any more of these. Sorry if I offended any readers who enjoy these stories but had to say what I felt..
