Summary: 3 or 4 ? But I will read more.
Review: I like my monster books with more blood, violence and sex then this had, Please see Anita Blake if you are not sure what I mean. However the story was interesting, the writing concise and easy to visualize, and the 3 main characters were interesting.

Biggest positive, the Ross character, as well as Jack and Megan don't hide behind some silly convention of civilization. When the chips are down they are real people who love and hate with equal ferocity. Good for Rebecca York, she did not wimp out at the end, so I am going off to read Edge of the Moon.

Biggest negative, Arnott was a good villain, he could have been scarier. He could have been an even greater threat. At least York resisted what I perceived as an impulse to water him down in psychological bull.

Summary: More twists than a corkscrew
Review: I've been reading romance and romantic suspense for a long time, and it's gotten very difficult to surprise me. KILLING MOON, however, kept me guessing, zigging every time I thought it would zag. This is the kind of book that makes you talk to the characters out loud: "No! Oh, don't do that!" Not because they're doing something dumb, but because you know the guy with the knife is just around the corner.

Then, of course, there's the romance. Ross and Megan are great characters who struggle for the happy ending they eventually find. I closed it with a happy sigh -- the very best kind.

The werewolf aspect of the story is well-handled. York makes it the heart of her strong, logical romantic conflict.

In all, I'm looking forward to the other books in this series.

Summary: My first, but not my last York novel.
Review: Killing Moon is a great read by author Rebecca York (AKA Ruth Glick). I found it quite by accident and I have already gone out and purchased Edge of the Moon and now am eagerly awaiting The Witching Moon.

Synop: Dr. Megan Sheridan has lost the toss and must go and get a genetic sample from would-be-patient Ross Marshall. Ross needs to find out if having children is possible for him or if he should just stay a loner. Megan finds Ross delirious, shot and naked. She can't help but be attracted to Ross. When Ross wakes up and finds Megan with him, he knows that he has found his 'mate' but the man who shot Ross will take their relationship and use it to his advantage. Ross must come to terms with his own inner 'demon' in order to save Megan and find a life of love and happiness.

Critique: I have read many stories about vampires, but haven't really delved into the world of werewolves. York does a great job of bringing the reader into Ross's world where he doesn't quite embrace his wolf side. The reader can't help but fall a bit in love with Ross, with his tortured, recluse act. Megan doesn't seem to be as well defined as Ross, but you root for her as well. The story was a fast read and made me want to read the next installment in the trilogy. I def. recommend this book if you like the paranormal.

Summary: delightful supernatural private investigator romance
Review: Private Investigator Ross Maxwell seeks evidence against human predators in which the cops are stymied. Currently he chases serial killer Donald Arnott. Ross cuts a hole big enough for a dog to fit through in the perimeter fence surrounding the property of his target. Ross shifts shape into a wolf and passes through the breach he created. However, bad luck occurs, as Donald happens to be outside. He shoots Ross, who manages to escape in spite of the wound.

The next day genetic research scientist Megan Sheridan of Bio Gen Labs visits client Ross at his home to do a work up on him. She finds him feverish from his wound so she cleans the wound, provides the antibiotic that he happens to need, and puts on fresh bandages. As he heals Ross worries because he knows Arnott stalks him, the Montgomery County, Maryland police suspect him in a murder investigation, and the CEO of Megan's company is acting strange. Still, Ross is angriest with Megan for not fleeing him because wolves mate for life, something he fears after what his dad did to his mom.

Using the premise that lycanthropy is a genetic disorder, KILLING MOON is a delightful supernatural private investigator romance starring two charming lead characters. The plot moves at a rapid pace though Arnott showing restraint seems off kilter. Ross is a wonderful protagonist struggling with his need for his life mate and his fear of the harm he will do to her. Megan is a courageous counterpoint who brings out the best in the beast. Sub-genre fans will relish Rebecca York's tale that makes a human species of werewolves.

Summary: Lycanthropic Lovers
Review: Ross Marshall is a private investigator with unique talents. He can sniff out a suspect, track down killers and hunt for clues in the dark. These skills blossomed out of a defect he inherited from his father -- the ability to turn into a werewolf.

As Marshall searches for a serial killer, he crosses paths with Megan Sheridan, a genetic researcher who's going to help him figure out his lycanthropic tendencies. She doesn't know he's a shapeshifter, of course, but that doesn't stop her from being drawn to the sexy sleuth.

Megan also doesn't know that wolves mate for life.

Marshall is everything a romantic hero should be: handsome, intelligent, worldly, wounded and struggling with his inner demons when the love of his life finds him lying in a pool of his own blood. Megan, on the other hand, lacks the strength of her patient. She's afraid of the dark, easily deluded and overwhelmed by everyone around her. Other than her beauty and scientific knowledge, I found it difficult to understand why such an intriguing protagonist would be interested in her.

Rebecca York's POV switches are easy-to-follow and allow the reader to understand the motivations of the hero, the heroine, the villain and the cop investigating the string of murders. Her ability to set the scene with sensual descriptions is extraordinary.

"Killing Moon" delves into the scientific basis for werewolves to exist in modern times. It is a fast-paced paranormal that mixes a terrifying plot with a less-than-suspenseful romance.

Summary: Yes!
Review: Ross Marshall is both blessed and cursed by the same thing. Being a werewolf allows him to use his enhanced senses to have a successful PI career. At the same time, this genetic disorder tortures his soul. He feels that love is something that is forbidden to him, for he saw the hell it made of his parents' relationship.

Meeting genetic researcher Megan Sheridan brings a dilema into his world. After Megan saves his life when he is wounded by a serial killer suspect, Ross finds himself falling for the lovely doctor. He does not want to, fearing she will be destroyed either by being caught in the crossfire of his detective work or by his paranormal life.

Nothing can deny the passion that takes root in their hearts from the first moment of their meeting. Not anger, not danger can keep Megan and Ross apart. There is, though, a killer who is determined to try.

***** With the suspense that drew fans to her for years writing the Light Street seris, Ms. York creates a whole new facet to the ever increasinly popular werewolf genre. Ross is not a lapdog, as some wolves turn out to be, nor is this world built on a stronly clannish system of the pack. Urban and unique, this series stands apart. *****

Summary: WoW
Review: This book was GOOD. I love Ross. I felt Meagan did not deserve him. She is a whimp.

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: not enough action
Review: This is the first book that I have read by Rebecca York. I agree with the other reviews for Killing Moon. I loved the way York put the book together. Her writing style and the way she would describe things. The only thing I thought it was lacking was a little more action. Most of it happened towards the end of the book. I also wish that she would have done more with Ross the werewolf. Maybe added to that part of the story. It seemed the only time she wrote about the werewolf was when it was in the woods or attacking someone. All in all I really liked it and I am looking foward to reading the other two.
