Summary: Compelling! Hard to put down! You want to know Who's Adam?
Review: This book completely draws you in. You'll stay up all night wanting to learn the secrets that are lurking. The underlying love that develops adds just a bit more of suspense, as you wonder "Who is Adam?" I found this book exciting and easy to read. I hated for it to end....This book was pure gold for having just picked it up based on the back cover!

Summary: Too mushy - kept waiting for suspense
Review: This book really disappointed me. I am a fan of mystery and thrillers and bought the book (partly) on the comments at the cover: " a real hair-raiser", "tremendous punch" - but sorry, I didn't see it. I was already halfway when I realized there WAS no deeper layer in the story: this is it, this is as tense/suspenseful (yawn) as it's going to get. A lot of characters are introduced with quite non-convincing backgrounds, and you saw the end build up real gradually (whodunnitandwhy). I thought the parts where Rachel interacts with Adam were soooooo mushy, talking about touching, caressing, kissing, feelings, blablabla, if I want to read about that, I'll take a romance novel. NO hair was raised what so ever. This is the first Kay Hooper I read, but as far as I'm concerned it will be the last: ultra-thin plot, where some characters are sketched briefly, without a real function in the plot (Marcy, and the housekeeper - forgot her name). Yeck! Take Dean Koontz, or Ann Rule - THOSE are hair-raising!!!

Summary: I must admit I was surprised
Review: This book was not what I thought it would be. I am not into paranormal stories so this was a great surprise. There were so many twists and turns that at times it got confusing but for the most part it was a solid story with some neat characters. Plenty of suspense, romance, and mystery. It was a entertaining way to spend a rainy weekend.

Rachel has lost the love of her life in a plane crash and she has had a hard time moving on. In fact she really never moved on. She moved from home to the big and bright city of New York to further her career in fashion desgin. Tragedy again brings her home when her parents are killed in a plane crash and she is forced to face her past. While she is out and about in her home town she sees a man that looks exactly like her dead love and then accidents start happening to her. Who is the look alike and why are these accidents happening to her and will she ever be able to move on and find love. You have to read the book to find the answers.

Summary: Unbelievable
Review: This book was reaching. The plot was weak and unrealistic. Rachel's boyfriend disappears 10 years ago and a man appears out of no where who happens to look just like her boyfriend's twin brother. the catch the guy is not her boyfriend and he owes her dad money a lot of money. so here goes, Is the guy her missing boyfriend? Is he a con man? Or is the unbelievable story true? Weak Weak Weak. also how long does it take to clean out a desk. Months?

Summary: A wonderful book!!
Review: This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. It was a page turner that kept you guessing until the end. I have already ordered more Kay Hooper books since I have read this one. Pick it up - you won't regret it.

Summary: My Favorite book ever!
Review: This one tops my list of favorite books. There's murder and romance mixed together so well as well as being fast paced. Plenty of suspicious characters to make you wonder who exactly did it. A great read and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Unusual at the very least
Review: This sure was an unusual book. A combination of a romance, thriller, maybe more ESP than paranormal but perhaps it was in it's 'jack of all trades' that it became a master of none. It was easy reading but the ending was too much to take...not to spoil it for those who have yet to read it....but the Adam/Tom ending? Puh-leeze! I did quite fancy Nick and Mercy though...and maybe it WAS because they were not fleshed out. Go figure huh?

Summary: I liked it!
Review: This was my favorite book of Hooper's, after the Caroline book. Much better than either Finding Laura or Amanda.
