Rating: Summary: The best Yet!!!!!!!!!! Review: I loved this book. This is the best Francesca Cahill Novel in the series.I love the scenes with Calder and Francesca. Thank God she is finally realizing that Calder is the one for her and not Rick. Calder lets Francesca fly; he doesn't try and hold her back from living her life the way she wants. I can't wait for the next one.
Rating: Summary: Frustrating Review: I wanted to scream in frustration. As the reader, I felt left out because I had not read the previous books. So I tried to enjoy the book once I accepted that the author was not giving more details about previous books. However, Fran's going back and forth over Hart and Rick was excessive and drove me crazy. Also, Fran is jealous of Rick's (WIFE) Leigh Ann, the next instant Fran is jealous of Hart paying attention to another woman. On the other hand, Fran is not happy, but resigned that Hart watched two women have sex to help further along a case she's working on. To me, the indecisive traits made Fran's character weak. Fran's character just didn't go with the storyline of the mystery. How Fran solved any cases is beyond me. This book was just too contradicting, did not have a smooth flow and didn't make sense.
Rating: Summary: Hot Review: I would like to start off by saying that the "Deadly" series is my favorite. Although I would recommend reading them in order (this is the 6th book). This book will really keep you on the edge of your seat...the pages just fly by. I think that Calder Hart is an amazing character. I can't wait for the next installment.

Rating: Summary: It's okay, but it needs a better ending. Review: Please know that Brenda Joyce does not conclude the series with this book. She leaves you hanging on the edge of your seat. However, I cannot continue to read the series. Please find a conclusion. These are the only books by Brenda Joyce I like. I feel almost as frustrated as Calder by Francesca's indecision and incontinuity. I think Deadly Affairs is the best of the series, and in comparison this book seems not as strong. Read at your own risk, lol.
Rating: Summary: Joyce delivers her promise on every count Review: The ensuing tussle between rival brothers Calder Hart and Rick Bragg for unconventional reformer and amateur sleuth Francesca Cahill yields a satisfying conclusion with Joyce's dramatic twists and turns. Deadly Promise, the sixth installment of Joyce's mystery romance caper continues to deliver on its textured and complex characterization. While New York City police commissioner Rick Bragg is hot on the pursuit for the mastermind behind a prositution ring with Francesca, he faces an internal struggle between the desires for his legitimate wife Leigh Anne and the deep betrayal he felt when she left him four years ago. An accident that leaves Leigh Anne's life hanging on a thread forces Bragg to re-examine his feelings for his wife. Other characters also get an equally gratifying treatment from Joyce. Calder Hart reforms from a debauched rake to be an alpha-male who charms with wits and chivalry. Francesca matures in her handling of relationships as she distills love from friendship. Joyce's mystery plot devices may lack intricacy but they are effective in unraveling the characters and complimenting the romance. The romance, especially, is top-notch with chemistry and poignancy. Joyce delivers her promise to readers on every counts.
Rating: Summary: Loved it, but... Review: The story was very good. I love the characters. However, Ms. Joyce needs a better editor. While not as many errors in this book as the previous "Deadly..." book, she still referred to the wrong character mentioning something that had happened. A bit confusing and breaks into the mood of the story when you have to make sense of a statement and come up with "oh, she meant Emily, not Debbie". Other than that, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: Fast and engrossing read Review: This 6th book is one of my favorites from the Deadly series. It continues on with Francesca's battle of emotions between the man she loves, the married police commissioner Rick Bragg, and his millionaire half brother Calder Hart whom she is starting to fall in love with and has become secretly engaged to in the last book Deadly Caress. You just fall in love with all the characters involved and become embroiled with what is happening. It's very fast paced and I can't wait for the next installment, but Miss Joyce said it would not be out until the beginning of 2005, since she has a new publisher. :(

Rating: Summary: Much better... Review: This book was much better than the last two. I hope that Ms. Joyce will continue developing the characters since she is only writing on Deadly book a year.
