Summary: Grat romantic suspense
Review: After fifteen years of being locked up in the Donaldson Correctional Facility for the murder of his odious stepfather, a crime he insists he never committed, the state of Alabama frees Reed Conway. Upon returning to his hometown of Spring Creek, his mother and his shy stepsister warmly welcome him. His mother works as a housekeeper to the in-laws of Senator Webb Porter, who resided on the bench when Reed was convicted of murder. Webb's wife Carolyn is very upset with the parole of Reed.

Webb's daughter, Judge Ella Porter, receives an unsigned "love letter" that is similar to the ones Reed sent her fifteen years ago. Ella confronts Reed, but he insists he did not write nor send the letter and that the two he sent her fifteen years ago were out of rage at her father. Ella and Reed fall in love even as an unknown assailant begins a campaign of terror to frighten her so she will turn to her father so he can insure Reed returns to prison.

EVERY MOVE SHE MAKES is a breathless regional romantic suspense novel with two star-crossed lovers having no chance of making it together due to a shared past and an unknown villain. The story line is crisp, but employs a questionable twist to keep the villain out of the mind's of the reader though in plain sight. Still, sub-genre fans will enjoy Beverly Barton's exciting tale that never slows down for a moment.

Summary: A good romantic suspense...
Review: Almost twenty years after he was convicted or murder, Reed Conway has been released and has sworn that he will find the person responsible for murdering his stepfather. The number one name on his list of suspects is the man that convicted him, Webb Porter. Esteemed senator and doting father, Webb seems like an unlikely suspect. The longer that he is out of prison, the more it looks like someone is determined to send him back. He finds an unexpected ally in Ella Porter, Webb's daughter, whom he feels more for than he ever expected.

Ella Porter can't decide if he's guilty or not. On one hand she is convinced that her father would never go after an innocent man. On the other hand the more time she spends with Reed, the more she doesn't think that he is capable of murder. Aside from the almost animal attraction for him, she tells Reed that she will help him prove his innocence.

Every Move She Makes is classic Barton. Although Ella was a little wimpy for me, always thinking 'run, Ella, run', I still enjoyed the plot as well as most of the characters.

Summary: A Sultry Southern Romantic Mystery
Review: As a mystery author with my debut novel in current release, I genuinely admire Beverly Barton's EVERY MOVE SHE MAKES. Ms. Barton tells the tale of Reed Conway who, at age 18, was convicted of killing his stepfather, Junior Blalock. Reed served his, actually someone else's, time, and returns home to his Alabama hometown. He wants to find the actual killer. The actual killer wants Reed back in prison before his guilt for the homicidal act is exposed. The town is full of possible suspects, including the one-time DA who sent Reed to the pen. The former DA, Web Porter, is now a senator, and there are romantic links between Web and Reed's mother. Web also has an attractive daughter who becomes romantically involved with Reed. Then the plot grows at little more complicated. EVERY MOVE SHE MAKES is a sultry southern romantic mystery you will enjoy. I recommend it highly.

Summary: Great Intrigue
Review: Beverly Barton writes a very suspenseful story, with a lot of dark family secrets, a bad boy hero and a happy ever after romance. The writing is good and she keeps the story moving quickly. Very simiiar to her After Dark novel. If you like her "Protectors" series, you will enjoy this book.

Summary: Another sizzling murder mystery by Beverly Barton
Review: Every Move She Makes is another romantic murder mystery by Beverly Barton, the premiere author of "The Protectors" series.

Reed Conway has just been released from serving 15 years for the murder of his stepfather. Now that he is out, it is time to go back to his hometown to find the real killer. The years spent in prison have not been easy for Reed, but he is a survivor.

Ella Porter, the daughter of the man who sent Reed to prison, is a thirty year old judge. As a shy teenager, she had a crush on Reed, the star athlete who was also "a bad boy". Unknown to her, Reed was aware of her in high school, but did not attempt to date her.

Angered by his conviction, Reed sent Ella a few letters before he went to prison which frightened her when he described his desire for her. After Reed is released, more suggestive letters are sent to Ella - did Reed send them? Ella doesn't know what to think - does Reed want to hurt her or does he feel the electricity for her that she feels for him?

Besides Reed and Ella's relationship, there are secondary characters that make this a well-rounded and complete story. The question is who framed Reed and there are many suspects which makes the book exciting to the very last page.

If you have read another Beverly Barton book, Lone Wolf's Lady, the hero from that book, Luke, also was sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit and he and the heroine work together to solve the mystery. This book also has several "steamy" scenes.

Summary: Engrossing!
Review: I have to confess, this is the first book that I have read by this author. She has made me an instant fan, Reed and Ella were very well rounded characters. Although, I must say, Wade Porter was not very favorable to me, but I will have to say that I do admire the love he felt for his daughter, though. This author reminds me of Linda Howard (one of my favorite authors). Keep writing, and I, in turn will keep reading!
Thanks for a great read, I will pass this on to all of my friends!
