Summary: It's OK
Review: The plot is simple but some of the 'scenes' made me laugh. If you're the type who likes to read about men and women arguing first before falling in love..then you'll like this. Reading this encouraged me to read more of NR's books!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: better than most of her books...
Review: This book is getting bad reviews, but I liked it enough to give it 4 stars. I only give a book 4 or 5 stars if I can't put the book down for 2 or 3 hours at a time.

Summary: Not one of the best...
Review: This book is not one of Nora's better books. It gets a little dull and is not one I would read again. It is probably my least favorite of all her books. But even being her worse book, it's still better than a lot of other romance books.

Review: This book took me on a trip of a life time! I loved it! I can't wait to read another one!

Summary: Awful
Review: This is probably the worst Nora Roberts book I've ever read in my life. It comes close to being the worst, period.

Whitney is totally unlikeable and ruins the story. She's annoying, arrogant, selfish and spoiled, from writing down every cent she gives Doug to the use of the formal "Douglas" whenever she speaks to him (his constant use of "sugar" isn't much better). It seems like every time they turn around, someone is on their tail, no matter where they go or what they do...totally unrealistic. And most of the book consists of them evading capture, rather than doing anything worthwhile.

If this had been my first Nora Roberts book, I never would've read another. As it is, the only reason I finished it is because I had no other books in the house.

Summary: badddd
Review: this is without a question the worst book by NR ive ever read. forcing myself to finish a book is a terrible thing and had it not been for the fact that NR is my absolute favorite author, i wouldve put it down long before the last page. for anyone reading this as a first by NR, keep in mind...she has over 130 books to date....theres bound to be one bad one in the bunch. thankfully, i know the next will be better, therefore, i continue to read her books ::smile

Summary: Sort of Okay
Review: This was too much like Romancing the Stone to be really enjoyable. Hot Ice was one of her earlier books, and she has definitely proven that practice makes perfect. Her more recent books are proof of that. I'd recommend this one if you had nothing else to read or if there was nothing to watch on t.v.

Summary: A Fun-Filled Fantasy
Review: While the plot didn't seem plausible. Imagine a thief and a wealthy woman trotting across Madagascar. It was suspenseful and very entertaining. I like both characters. I didn't think that Whitney was spoiled she's a lady of means how was she suppossed to act plus she has heart of gold. I like the way Nora Roberts did the character of Douglas. So often in most romantic novels the thief steals because of an unfortunate childhood. But in this novel she shows he steals because he likes to steal. Which I thought was realistic. This is my first Nora Roberts novel but it certainly won't be my last. Kudos Nora Roberts.
