Summary: Humorous and exciting.
Review: I certainly enjoyed reading this book. It brightens my day whenever I read it. It made me smiled and laughed when I came across Whitney or Doug witty comments which earned me curious glances or weird looks from my colleagues and passengers in the train ride to work. Syabas Nora ! Thanks for the entertainment.

Summary: Disappointing to say the least!
Review: I had just finished "Carnal Innocence" which I really enjoyed. So it was with great enthusiasm that I picked up my second Nora Roberts book, "Hot Ice." Sure, I had heard about Nora Roberts but I hadn't yet read her until "Carnal Innocence."

"Hot Ice" is truly disappointing. If I hadn't read "Carnal Innocence" first, I would be thoroughly perplexed as to reason for Roberts' fame. I have no sympathy for the characters. A mismatched couple on a treasure hunt and on the run from a truly nasty man who has a torture chamber, Whitney is too vain to don authentic native dress to avoid recognition and capture...she refuses to look "dowdy" and applies make-up. Her continual whining for fashion and beauty (she actually says "I broke a nail; now what am I supposed to do?!") is pathetic. The hero is no hero but a thief. The book is drudgery to read.

Summary: not all I thought it would be but still very good
Review: I have read most every Nora Roberts book writen and was a little dissaponed in this one. I mean don't get me wrong the book was great and I couldn't put it down, but some how half way threw it I thought of Homeport, an older book Nora Roberts wrote. The charicters are similer but the story line is changed a little. I highley recomend that if you plan on reading Hot Ice then don't read Homeport or Read Homport first, else Hot ice will make Homeport look like a rewrite. If you feel I have made these books sound like one an dthe same then your wrong. Homport by far in my opion blows this book away, but still I did enjoy Hot Ice and hope you do to.

Summary: Fair At Best
Review: I love Nora Roberts but was not impressed with this book. I found Whitney a very unlikeable heroine. She was shallow, arrogant and seemed to feel that her money made her better than everyone else. While I liked Doug I couldn't say much for his taste in being attracted to Whitney. I don't know how he kept from throttling her!

Summary: Not One of her Best
Review: I Love Nora Roberts. However, even her not so wonderful books are better than most of the romance books available.

I think what turned me off on this book was that it seemed unrealistic. It was hard for me to envision myself in the characters place, which is something that usually Nora Roberts does well. Also, the characters came across as being much more interested in money and the things money can buy rather than the more important things in life. The heroine was rich and rich and that was about it. The hero wanted to be rich and that was about it.

Not one of my favorites, but again- much better than many of the sloppy in your face romance for sex purposes books.

Summary: Enjoyable...............
Review: I still do not understand why such low reviews. I thought the Hot Ice was very exciting and enjoyable. Douglas Lord .thief extrordinare joins up with Whitney McCallister a Young Interior Decorater,to pick off some jewels. The book to me, was exciting from the first page on. I also enjoyed the lively banter between the two of them to final build-up in getting together at the end. I high recommend this book, I enjoyed this one more than some of her others. Please give this book a try, I think you will enjoy it.

Summary: Long, Dense and Boring
Review: I ususally love Nora Roberts - but this reprint of a 1980's book was horrible. This has none of the spice and romance of her more recent books. She give more details about Madagaskar than she does of the characters. There is very little romance - and what there is is too drwn out - and the story is boring. I'm sorry but I have to recommend passing on this one

Summary: One of my favorites!
Review: I was shocked by the low rating! I have read several Nora Roberts novels and this is truly one of my favorites! It not only contains a sweet romance but is full of adventure and suprise! I strongly recommend this book to any book lover, not just Nora Roberts fans.

Rating: 1 stars
Summary: In Agreement with Negative Reviews
Review: I'm a diehard fan of J. D. Robb and many of Nora Roberts' romance/suspense books, but don't waste your money on this one. It's the only one of her books that I finally had to start skimming pages less than 1/2 way through only because I hate to leave a book unfinished. If you must have it to complete your collection, fine. Otherwise, it's a waste of time.
