Rating: Summary: Phyllis Whitney Wannbe, but Doesn't Review: Poor Kacy! She's run away from the horrid memories of her marriage and her husband Alex's death all the way from America to romantic Ireland and seemingly into the arms of handsome Braedon. Too bad Braedon doesn't trust her, thinking she and Alex have knowingly defrauded his art galleries by swapping masterpieces for cleverly forged imitations. Ironically, a seemingly coincidental sequence of accidents where Kacy is the victim lead Braedon to question his own premise and to eventually sympathize with her own innocent betrayal.
Does this sound like the stuff romantic suspense is made of? Definitely. However, for some reason along the way, the story becomes predictable. As readers and lovers of romantic suspense, we know that according to the formulaic result, Braedon and Kacy are going to find happiness together yet for some reason in this equation, we don't care. Kacy is too pre-Raphaelic angelical and Braedon is too Pierce Brosnan. With such perfection, their little hangups seem just that, little and inconsequential. The theme of trust and its counterpart are overplayed; there is too much doubt in the minds of both participants even though they seek release in each other's arms. (The love scenes, by the way, are overcontrived. I felt as if they were requested by the publisher in order to attract a certain type of reader.) I won't spoil the ending for the dedicated reader of Ms. Davis' work, but in my opinion it is overused---soap opera-ish----and does not even work in a novel where the main objective should be solely the reader's pleasure.

Rating: Summary: A disappointment. Review: This is my 1st Dee Davis book and I found it enjoyable. The characters were likable and the story good but predictible. All in all, it was good and I would recommend it.
Rating: Summary: A Fast Read Review: This is my 1st Dee Davis book and I found it enjoyable. The characters were likable and the story good but predictible. All in all, it was good and I would recommend it.
Rating: Summary: Great Suspense! Review: This was my first book by this author and I was suprising entertained. Wonderful charectors, strong, Braedon and Kacy were great. Normally I review and tell you the story but this time I am going to review on the authors storytelling. She does an extordinary job of keeping your interest with the suspense and she is a wonderful story teller. I really enjoyed this book and will purchase more by her. I don't think you would possibly be dissapointed if you enjoy good suspense with a little romance...I know I do!
Rating: Summary: Great romance and suspense Review: What a fantastic book! The suspense was wonderful and had great twists. The romance between Kacy and Braedon was soul stirring, and made my heart ache as the story played out. It's amazing how this book started out with a bang and really grabbed me. I can't wait for more. I thought Dee Davis' first book, 'Everything in its Time', was great and this one is too. This book is well deserving of five stars!
Rating: Summary: Wow! Review: What a great book. Ms. Davis has written an exciting and stimulating book that grabbed me and kept me interested through all the plot twists and turns. With this book and her last, Everything In Its Time, it's clear that Ms. Davis is destined for greatness. I can't wait to read more from her.
Rating: Summary: Totally disappointed! Review: When I read Davis' first book, EVERYTHING IN ITS TIME, I loved it. It had everything I enjoyed reading in a romance...time travel or other wise. When I saw that she had written a romantic suspense I snatched it right up. I am the type of reader who read all genre of books and am always happy when my authors delve from one genre to an other. Keeps me on my toes. However, this book was terrible. It bored me right from the beginning. The romance was laughable. In a word...corny. The mystery was okay, but not very well set up. I almost put this book down a few times but forced myself to finish it in the hopes that I will be pleastantly surprised with the ending. No true. It ended exactly as I expected. Save your money...get this from a used bookstore if you feel you HAVE to read it. Even its already low price is still too much.
