Rating: Summary: You can't get any better with intrigue than this. Review: I would have to state this is my favorite of her suspense thriller books. Such intensity and detail with descriptions of horrible events put the lead female role in harm's way. One may think these feelings do not exist in people, but they do and again you put yourself into the character's role and sense the fear and devastation she feels. You think it's all figured out and you're on pins and needles to find out the ending. When you get there, you're still left with asking yourself ... WHAT???? It's worth another read or more to look at the scenario in a different perspective. A fantastic book/story line that also has that bit of heated romance sizzling. I'm glad of no sequels but wouldn't mind some answers. In all honesty, I love when a book or a movie ends with you rethinking and read or watch again. A great finale and I wouldn't change a thing. A Great Read....
Rating: Summary: Excellant book! I couldn't put it down! Great pool reading! Review: I've read a lot of Sandra's books and this is *by far* the best
Rating: Summary: This book should be R-rated. Review: If you want to read a smut-filled novel this would be a great choice. There is way too much detail involved in sexual events that happen in this book. There was a vividly-horrid violent scene written about in this book also. This was a choice for our book club one month, and only 2 people (of 7) were able to continue reading all the garbage that was in the book. The others refused to read such filth. For those who like to keep their mind out of the gutter, this book is not a good choice.
Rating: Summary: Harlequin revisited Review: Most of Brown's books appear (I've only read three, that's all I could take) usually have a great plot, which she ruins by too much romance-novel sex and too much contriving. It's too bad, too because the plots are often great. If you don't like the usual romance novel drivel, try something else.
Rating: Summary: "Witness" is Powerfully Written Review: Ms. Brown has brought us another powerfully written romantic thriller. In "The Witness", we meet Kendall Deaton, a strong, loving, woman on the run. From the opening setting of a horrid auto accident to her runaway life with her pseduo-husband....the authoress keeps us turning the pages as fast as we can read them. A great romatic read for summer or any season! Thanks--CDS
Rating: Summary: WOW!!! Review: Next to Breath of a Scandal, this is the BEST - Sandra Brown is a master!! I don't like her genre romances one bit, they are mindless drivel and lame - but her novels are absolutely fabulous!! I just ordered 6 more!!
Rating: Summary: UNBELIEVABLY OUTSTANDING AGAIN Review: Once again she has made it impossible for me to put down one of her novels until it's read completely. I can't wait to finish it and then hate for it to end. She can captivate a reader with the first few pages and keep you on the edge of your seat until you know what is going on and how it will end. I began by reading "unspeakable" first and now am looking for every book she has written so I can really enjoy a book like she makes you. This one I've just finished, "Witness" is wonderful and I just had to write because I couldn't believe she could continuously write such wonderful books. Keep them coming. PLEASE!!!!!!
Rating: Summary: A Wonderful Romance/Suspense Review: One of Sandra Brown's best, this book is a super-fast read. Heavy on the suspense with just the right amount of romance. And some of the creepiest bad guys I've seen in quite some time. There are many, many plot twists that keep you guessing right up until the end. There are no loose ends left by the satisfying conclusion. Ms. Brown, keep those romance thrillers coming! I'm hooked!
Rating: Summary: Sandra Brown -- you go girl!! Review: Sandra Brown (S.B.) what a wonderful murder mystery, love story and legal documentary this book was. Kendall was the perfect heroine I would liked to have been if I were to have been in her shoes. She was smart, beautiful, successful, loveable and down right "on time" regarding the realities of the governnent's "witness protection program". Having served as an attorney in private practice and a public defender, she was well prepared to tread through the legal system to reach her own satisfaction to her dilemma. The book opens with Kendall surviving a tragic car accident. From that point forward, I was spellbound to the story. Some of the most incredible things took place in her short work career as an attorney. She goes from a happy attorney in a large firm to being an individual who was in need of legal representation for her own life experiences. During the course of time, she meets a man, falls in love and marries him, and attempts to live happily everafter. However, kismit did not have happily everafter in its plans for her. The book tells about the many situations Kendall undergoes before coming full circle with taking matters into her own hands ...etc. Beverly C. Sanders
Rating: Summary: Great Book Review: Sandra Brown in one of my favorite authors and has yet to dissappoint me. I read The Witness several years ago and enjoyed it so much that I kept it to be read again in the future. This book was as exciting and suspenseful the second time around. I plan on reading it again in a few more years. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys suspense and a plot with numerous twists and turns.
