Rating: Summary: "Charade" is a satisfying mystery Review: I first read this book about a year ago and loved it!!! I usually enjoy Mary Higgins Clark novels and this Sandra Brown book came close in mystery and suspense. I just bought "Charade" and I am looking forward to reading it again and again.
Rating: Summary: Unique concept, but disappointing nonetheless Review: I had high hopes for this book because of it's unique plot. However, as far as the romance part of it, I was really disappointed. In fact, this is probably one of the only romance novels I've ever read where I DIDN'T want the hero and heroine to get together at the end. The hero didn't show the kind of deep love and concern for the heroine that is such a staple in romance novels (something that, in fact, those who read romance novels come to expect). The hero used the heroine to satisfy his own emotional turmoil over another woman. As a woman, that kind of behavior would have been inexcusable no matter what his explanation. Also, I figured out who the killer was early on, although there were a couple of plot twists I didn't expect. All in all, I wouldn't recommend this novel, even to Sandra Brown fans.
Rating: Summary: a good read Review: I have read several of her books and was not disappointed in any of them. She must have a wonderful imagination to think up all these stories. Cat has had a heart transplant. She is a famous woman who has changed her career choice and is now being stalked. She doesn't know who, but finds out that is has something to do with her heart transplant. She has many suspects and there are many twists and turns. It keeps you on your toes to the end. A good book

Rating: Summary: Another Truimph for Sandra Brown Review: I love Sandra Brown novels and this one was exceptional. The goal of the villian is to stop the beating heart. It was about heart transplantees who are being murdered on the anniversity of their transplants. Because the killer isn't sure which heart he needs to stop he goes after them all. It a very fast and interesting read. It has mystery, suspense and yes even a decent romance. I enjoyed the book immensely.
Rating: Summary: One Of Sandra's Best! Review: I read this book about two years ago and I think it is one of the best romantic/suspense stories I have ever read. It seems with only about eleven reviews that it is not one of Ms. Brown's more popular novels. But don't be fooled--this is an excellent read. In romantic/suspense one element suffers and it is usually the romance end of the story. But not so in Charade. Ms. Brown has put together an excellent mixture of both. I initially had reservations about this book because of the subject matter. I am not a fan of hospital murder mysteries. But not to worry, Sandra does not dwell on the medical end of the story. One reviewer was bored during the first seven chapters. I was not. The murderer is introduced within these chapters and the best part is you will never guess "who dunnit". I didn't until third chapter from the end. I think this is one of Sandra's best. Give it a try--you won't be disappointed.
Rating: Summary: Fast Paced Review: I really enjoyed reading this book. It held my attention and had me guessing until the very end. The romance was also very enjoyable and you really rooted for the two involved. Would definately recommend this to anyone interested in romance/suspence.

Rating: Summary: Riveting! Review: I stumbled onto Sandra Brown's books quite by accident. I am not a big fan of her early novels, her most recent work is tremendous! Charade is probably her best work that I have read. It pulls you in from the begining, and won't let you go until the last page has been turned. There are so many twists and turns in the plot, but all plausble. The charcters are believable and likable. I spent the whole book trying to figure out who the killer was, and was totally blown away once revealed. Brown knows how to take a great suspense story and weave in a little bit of romance and do it all with style. She has definatley turned me into a fan with this novel.
Rating: Summary: probably her best work! Review: Of all the full length novels that Ms Brown has written, this one is surely her best(although I still haven't read The Switch, Alibi and Envy) This one has both mystery and romance, in equal proportions unlike her new novels which don't lay too much attention on the love aspect. I thought the relationship between Alex and Cat was the best that she has written. There was everything, especially a lot of sensuality and deep love. I wish she would write stuff like this more often!
