Summary: Suspenseful, but not realistic
Review: Brown needs to work on her verisimilitude a bit with respect to human behavior and psychology. Alex Pierce's character was more than a bit unbelievable. And the undercover cop in the bar? Please.

Also, there were too many coincidences in this novel. One of the first rules that a fiction writer learns is not to use coincidences--instead, everything must make sense plausibly. Too many events fall into place by sheer luck, which is annoying. This isn't a book of fantasy and magic, after all.

Also, the language is unnecessarily vile at times, which can be distracting, especially during romantic scenes when Brown is trying to set the mood.

Now that I've gotten the caveats out of the way, this novel *is* suspenseful, especially as you get toward the end. And the person who did it is a BIG surprise.

Summary: Fast, exciting and as sexy...!!
Review: Cat Delaney is a beautiful successful actress in a soapie and shocks her millions of fans by retiring at the peak of her career. She was the recipient of a heart transplant and, following her surgery, came to feel that she could be doing a great deal more to help the under priveleged, especially young children in need of a loving family. She sets up a TV program in Houston to act as a showcase for the available, needy children, showing them in natural settings to highlight their need for love and security. An alarming number of heart transplantees are found murdered in such a way as to appear to be accidental and Cat recieves three letters, warning her that she will be next,on the fourth anniversary of her transplant.
Enter Alex, an ex-cop, unbelievably handsome, sexy as all get out and a passionate affair begins until Cat begins to suspect that he has his own agenda.I found this to be a good, light, fast read with some very explicit love scenes which were very well written.

Summary: A very suspenseful book. One of the best Sandra Brown has written
Review: Charade is not your typical romance novel. It also has some mystry and suspence. It was very hard to put down. I couldn't wait to finish it so I could find out what happens to the characters in the book. I loaned the book to a friend and when she was done with it I read it again.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A heart-stopping thriller
Review: Charade is Sandra Brown's most powerful novel. A daring plot and thrilling suspense make this story one you don't want to stop reading. Look out Mary Higgins Clark, Sandra Brown is the new queen of suspense!

Summary: Great story
Review: I almost gave up on Sandra Brown after reading Temptations Kiss but I gave her one more try and read Charade. This was not a mistake, she has won my readership back. The story had a good twist to it, you're constanting trying to guess who is doing this. Good read.

Summary: slightly disappointed
Review: I am a big fan of Sandra Brown but I was slightly disappinted in this book. The storyline was great her characters were likable and human as usual. But she spent seven chapters describing background information in rediculous detail. one chapter of backround info. would have been sufficient. If you can get past the boredom of the first seven chapters or skip it all together the book was great. After the filler Sandra depicts a great story of love, trust and the nuances of life.

Summary: I was on the edge of my seat!
Review: I am a BIG fan of Sandra Browns books! This book is one of my favorite! I found myself actually reading the ending at stop lights on my drive home! Couldn't put it down!

Summary: A Well-Read Book!
Review: I am a teacher and read Charade about two years ago. I loaned it to two of my co-workers. They loved it so that they loaned it out to at least three other teachers at my school. Just got another copy and mailed it to my sister-in-law. Gave another to an new teaching assistant. This book has such a great story line and keeps you in suspense right up until the end. It's the best S.B. book I have read (so far).

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Great Mystery
Review: I couldn't figure out the murderer until nearly the end of this book. Sandra Brown has managed to combine love, suspense and some insight into the life of a heart transplantee and come up with a great read.

Rating: 5 stars
