Summary: Couldn't put it down for long.
Review: I am a big reader of murder/mystery/thriller novels. I have favorite authors. I admit that I had never heard of Lisa Gardner until I received this book as a gift. I started reading it and could not stop. I enjoyed it so much that I had to share it with someone else. (Who, by the way couldn't put it down either)! The Perfect Husband was full of surprises at every turn of the page. Just when you think that you have it figured out, something entirely different happens. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to curl up for hours on end with a good murder mystery.

Review: I am a 16 year-old female which has never really picked up a novel and read it.My mother reads all kinds of novels so I will occasionally read the back of the novel.I didn't read the back of this book,I just started reading it.I did not finish reading until there was nothing left to read.I can't wait for Lisa Gardners' new book.I don't even think I can wait for the end of this year for the book.The Perfect Husband was exceptional and extremely bonechilling.I never go to bed without looking in my closet.(My mother either)

Review: I actually picked up this book by accident! Am I ever glad that I did. I read this book in one sitting -- I literally could not put it down. It gave me chills. I hope Lisa Gardner writes more books like this one, but one caution -- it's going to be hard to top The Perfect Husband.

Review: This is easily one of the best books I've read in a long time. Before I'd hardly blinked, I was three chapters into the story and completely immersed in the characters' plight. If you love complex characters, chilling realism, and a plot that surprises you at every turn, read this book!

Review: This is sensational! It keeps you going, you just can't put in down, even when you know you have to. The thought of going to sleep is scary! She's the best writer I've found since Tami Hoag. That's one of the highest compliments I could give her. I can't wait for the next book!

Summary: Kept Me Reading!
Review: Imagine being married to a serial killer, a savage serial killer, and bearing his child. Then you put him in prison, and then he escapes. How far can you run to get away from him? And how many lives will he take in his wake? But Tess doesn't run. She stands up and fights, for herself and for her child. One could only admire Tess. I wonder if I would have her guts if I were in that situation, but then there are those mother instincts that keep us going. It was a great book, and I look forward to more great books from this young author.

Review: THE PERFECT HUSBAND is my first mainstream suspense novel, released December 1997 under the name Lisa Gardner. I'm actually quite young, just 26, but this is not my first book. For the last 6 years I have written 13 romantic suspense novels under the name Alicia Scott for Silhouette Intimate Moments. If you enjoyed TPH and like romance, you might want to give my next Silhouette release, BRANDON'S BRIDE (February 1998 SIM) a try. I spent two years working on TPH and conducted very detailed research with various law enforcement agencies. I hope the end result is a gritty, authentic suspense tale about all the horrible things that can go bump in the night. If the ending caught you by surprise, then I feel I did my job right. <g> Living in New England, I'm now working on my next suspense novel, THE OTHER DAUGHTER, which should be available by end of '98. Review: This young prolific author is going places! She sets a fast past suspense that will keep you awake until the wee hours -- you'll be to horrified at what Jim Beckett is capable of. Will Tess, his abused wife, be able to stop his haneous killing spree before she's added? Will JD Dillion be able to release his own demons in order to help Tess stop Beckett before he get's her daughter and completes his gruesome goal. A must read.
