Rating: Summary: Fast paced, chilling, suspenseful thriller. Review: If you like hanging on the end of your seat orjumping when you hear a noise when your reading, then this book is a must read, I loved it. Jim Beckett is as coldblooded and calculating as they come, but his ex-wife is not going to be an easy target. Great read!
Rating: Summary: Very suspensful... I could not put it down!! Review: I haven't read a book as good as this one in a long time. It was a real page turner. I got so cranky when someone would try to talk to me .....the suspense keeps you on your toes! After I finished this book, I found myself going back to reread my favorite parts. (there sure were alot of them!) I would highly recommend this book to anyone that loves a mystery with a superb plot. By the way.......are we sure that Jim Beckett is dead? Chilling.
Rating: Summary: One Word----THRILLING Review: This book ranks up there with the best books that I have read. I found that I could not put the book down. THE PERFECT HUSBAND, how ironic. In just about every way, he was "perfect", until the end when everything came crashing down. As for the mercernary's sister, she really asked for her own fate. I hated it, but hey. I was very thrilled for Tess. Loved the book!!
Rating: Summary: Chilling! Execellent! Review: I read this in two days and thoroughly enjoyed it. I love psychological/suspense thrillers and this one rates at the top of my list. The villain won't be easy to forget! And neither is Tess! I'll be keeping my eye out for more from Gardner and can't wait for the new one that's coming out at the end of the year!
Rating: Summary: Wow!!!Move over Tami Hoag! Review: Reminiscent of Night Sins and Cry Wolf. Best romance-suspense novel I've read in a long time. Very descriptive, almost too much so at times, but necessary for the story line.(You're a scary lady!!VBG!!) Keep up the good work Lisa...can't wait for the next one!
Rating: Summary: Great page turner Review: I could not put this book down. It was very fast paced and exciting. I have not read anything so griping in a while. Great rainy day entertainment.
Rating: Summary: Unbelievably Taut... Review: A beautifully written, well-plotted page turner. I really loved this book! The author was responsible for my having very little sleep -- while I was trying to finish it, as well as LATER.
Rating: Summary: Don't miss reading this one! Review: Definetly 'a must' read. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Lots of suspense. Descriptive narrative almost brought characters to life. Looking forward to Ms. Gardners next novel.
Rating: Summary: A really good read Review: A friend at work, my husband, and myself have all read and thoroughly enjoyed The Perfect Husband. We spent quite some time between us deciding that it should be made into a movie and trying to decide who we would cast in the parts of Jim and J.T. Some of the leading contenders are George Clooney, Alec Baldwin, Chuck Norris, and after seeing As Good As It Gets, possibly Greg Kinnear. Does anyone else have any role possibilities?
Rating: Summary: Dreadful! Review: Boring characters, who are not credible in the way they think or act. Superficial treatment of forensics, in contrast to Jeffery Deaver's superb novel "The Bone Collector". Also irritatingly repetitive in the characters' thought sequences. Give this a miss!
