Summary: Sure to go on your KEEPER shelf!
Review: Behind Closed Doors is sure to become one of the best reads of 2002. Seth is all Alpha male - very sensual and sexual, very in control. The suspense in the book is tight, but never overshadows the romance. The growing relationship will keep you on the edge of your seat. Hot, intense, fast-paced and compelling. I LOVED it!

Summary: Erotic, Suspensful, Engrossing
Review: This book is deeply engrossing! It is the first Shannon McKenna book I read, and I can't wait to read more of them! This book is suspenseful and interesting. The relationship, it's growth and progression, between the main characters is complex, deep, and sexy. Seth is hot, wild, troubled and irrestistible. Definitely read this book! I hope we hear more about the characters we meet in this book! (I know she writes about Connor, but Sean and Davy are fabulous and compelling too!!)

Summary: Porn for Females!
Review: To call this a romance is definitely stretching it, since there really is no courting involved. In fact, the way they meet Seth, the hero of the book, is sort of a pervy stalker/peeper, which is kinda creepy. But wow! are the sex scenes really steamy!

The book is really pretty much built around the multiple sex interludes. And there are a lot, as Seth and Raine do it like rabbits. There's a ridiculous intrigue plot with guns and big bad guys sorta tossed in, but that part is really just stupid. The meat of the book, and McKenna's writing forte, is the sex! Not too dirty, but definitely not tame, she really delivers the sizzle! Lots of positions, but no bondage or kink (other than a little role-playing.) And one indication that this is fiction for women? Seth, the hero, loves giving oral sex, but never asks for any himself. Hah!

Summary: Not the most perfect main characters
Review: It was a nice change not having the same stereotypical main characters you find in most romance novels... The rogue, the virgin.... But it was a little hard for me to really like these two. After 400+ pages, I really wanted to. They seemed real enough for the most part, and I could even buy the whole power/dominance struggle between the two and how it played out in the sex scenes. But Seth was such a jerk at times and not charming enough to make up for it. Raine let him off the hook way too easy in my point of view. I understand that her character was a wall flower to begin with, but when I thought she was finally getting a backbone I was disappointed. I also agree with another reviewer that there sure was a whole lot of sex going on, on almost every page. I enjoy these scenes, but towards the end it was a little much and unrealistic. I mean, didn't they ever get sore? And who wants to do it with a fresh knife wound or sore nose? I liked it overall, except for those things, mainly because it was a nice change from the norm, even though I ended up not liking the main characters.

Summary: What's not to like?
Review: This book is packed with intrique, sensuality, redemption, and last, but not least, love.

Shannon McKenna has a wonderful voice that shines in this story, and I look forward to more of her work in the future. I found myself desperately rivited to Seth and Raine. Seth was rough and hard-edged, but men aren't supposed to be whimps. And Raine was as alluring as she was fascinating.

Nevertheless, if steamy, sexy scenes turn you OFF, then by all means don't pick up this book. Leave it on the shelves for someone who will appreciate its sultry characteristics.

Summary: Not very good
Review: This was my first Shannon McKenna book and I'm not sure if it will be my last. The reviews on this book have been pretty good and I don't understand why. Sure, the sex scenes were steamy, but Seth was a jerk to Raine and she was such a wuss. He continually used his power to control her. It didn't make sense why Raine would take that from any man. I didn't quite understand how Raine could continually go back to him and let him take advantage of her. In the end, this book was not very good. There was no real love between Seth and Raine.

Summary: Fab-U-Lous!!
Review: This was the first book I have read by this author & I thought it was Fab-U-Lous!! Seth (the hero) was hard, gruff and moody but I thought he was uber sexy!! Raine (the heroine) was beautiful, intelligent, brave and a perfect counterpart for Seth. I loved the fact that Seth was obsessed with Raine and even though (another review said it was creepy) he spyed on her constantly- he only did it because he couldn't control the feelings she stirred in him.
The only "beef" I had with this book was sometimes Raine came off a bit too whiney. But, that was brief & didn't subtract from the love story in the end.
This book was fast-paced, exciting and full of hot, steamy love scenes. I truly enjoyed reading BCD and can't wait to read more of Ms. McKenna.

Summary: wow, what a fast pacing erotic read!
Review: This is my first book from this author and then I immediately read the following ones. Even though Shannon Mckenna repeats herself in other series, she is a bright star in this genre. I liked the fast pacing storyline very much. If you dont like too controlling male characters you probably wont like it. On the other hand, I must say that it was an amazing read. I could not put it down, a real page turner. Great for lazy days, particularly perfect for the beach.
Behind Closed Doors has a good storyline and sizzling scenes. I recommend this book if you want to read suspense, love and some sex. I was entertained with Behind Closed Doors. Also recommended: 'Standing In The Shadows' by Shannon McKenna.

Summary: Hot and Hard
Review: I absolutly loved this book. I am putting it on my keeper shelf and telling everyone I know about this book. No, the story with the weapons and bad guys was not all that involved, it was enough, to keep the book from being nothing but hot and heavy sex. But, no complaints. That book was hot, even if it had some elements that are not in a "normal" romance. It was still one of the best books that I have read. It was a page turner that got read in one day. And ya, like one reviewer comented that Seth was on the weirdo side, you get to watch how that obsession turns into something more. We wont call it beautiful, but I guess it is in its own way. Personally, Seth made my mouth water. Raine tried to handle him as best as she could. I liked it. Porn, erotica, whatever. Remember, there is a little story line. It is a dynamite book that you should go get and read. I will read it again, adn get her other books. I just started Standing in the Shadows. Although, I think I still like Seth better. I dont think any book could be like that one. Even others from S.M. But I will be on the lookout. Enjoy!
