Rating: Summary: Stick to what your good at! Review: A Pop Goes the Weasel, Cat & Mouse, Jack & Jill etc...it is not. He ventured off the beaten path and, in my opinion, fell off the cliff. Compared to his other books, I would rate this a 0.
Rating: Summary: Boring, Contrived and Not Your Typical James Patterson Review: What no Alex Cross? Only a popular writer such as James Patterson could get away with this. After reading all of his books this one was a big disappointment. Totally out of character for Patterson. The Church, the Devil, Virgin births! Save your money on this one. BRING BACK ALEX CROSS
Rating: Summary: I can't believe this is James Patterson! Review: I am an avid James Patterson fan and was really looking forward to his latest release. However, as I continued to read this book, I kept waiting for it to get better. It didn't. A very disappointing read. Sorry.
Rating: Summary: Predictable Review: I now can say I have read the worst James Patterson novel ever. I knew exactly what was going to happen each time I turned a page, to say the least I finished this book in no time. I remember a movie of the week being about this exact story, go figure. Please stay with Alex Cross, he is the only character that is truly interesting
Rating: Summary: Don't waste your time - I did Review: This book is simply horrible. Please, do not waste your time or money. A very poorly written novel.
Rating: Summary: A Waste of Time Review: This book was awful. Patterson what happened. It was poorly written and predictable. Not what one would expect from a Patterson novel. I only finished it because I paid the $25.00.
Rating: Summary: Patterson's Fall Review: Recently Patterson has re-released two of his earlier novels, Cradle and All being a "remake" of Virgin. I have named Patterson as one of my favorite writers for the last 5 years and haven't hesitated to purchase any of his books upon their release. However, I will be quite hesitant to purchase his next release after reading this one. For those who are reading Cradle as your first Patterson-please read some of his previous work. Before his bough broke, Patterson was a spellbinding writer certain to captivate his audience.
Rating: Summary: Hard to believe this was written by James Patterson Review: While I was initially happy to see that it was not an Alex Cross story, I was disappointed with what it was and yearned to read about Alex again. Where did all this religion come from? I expected to read a thriller not something occult. I thought the previous novel about flying kids was just an a one time fluke. Guess not.
Rating: Summary: Cradle and All Review: I would give this book a very mixed review. I have read all of James Patterson's books and would agree that Alex Delaware is his niche. The story line for 'Cradle' is very good, but the prose lacks the quality that Mr. Patterson is certainly capable of. I do not understand the need for 112 chapters in a 300 pg. book. I found this very distracting and caused a lack on continuity. As I said, the story line is good, but Stephen King could have taken this story and with his descriptors, built a much more enjoyable read. I just can't get away from the thought that this book resembles 'See Jane run', but with a better plot line. :) Sorry Mr. Patterson.
Rating: Summary: AFTER THE FACT PULP Review: IN LIGHT OF THE LAST SECRET OF FATIMA BEING REVEALED PREVIOUS TO THE RELEASE OF THIS BOOK, THE PUBLISHER AND AUTHOR SHOULD HAVE "DEEP SIXED" THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A NOVEL! HAD I KNOWN THAT THE BOOK ALLUDED TO THE FATIMA SECRETS FALSELY, I WOULD HAVE NEVER BOUGHT IT.
