Summary: A Great Read!
Review: Dice Angel captures your attention right from the start. It's easy to get caught up in the characters and the story because everything seems so real. At the end of the book I was anxious to start the sequel. This is a must read for anyone who wants to know anything about the people in Las Vegas, or just wants a great story about how to get something good out of a bad situation.

Summary: Dice Angel, a wonderful read!
Review: What an entertaining read! I loved it. The story is engaging and the characters are developed so well that you would like to get to know them personally. It is fast paced and written with a wit that reminds me of Nelson DeMille. Bravo, Brian Rouff!

Summary: You'll have fun, fun, fun reading this book
Review: All the excitement of a Vegas vacation without leaving your armchair. After reading the first short chapter, I was hooked. Forget about getting anything done, the characters entice you into their world and won't let you leave until the last page is turned. Author, Brian Rouff knows the first rule of a great entertainer, always leave your audience wanting more. Looking forward to more of the heart and soul of Vegas.

Summary: The Real Las Vegas
Review: Dice Angel kept my attention through every page. I did not want to put it down. The scenes and characters in the book showed that there are real people with real problems of everyday life that live in Las Vegas. I live in Las Vegas and could relate to the details in the book describing places, people, and things here. I really enjoyed the book from start to finish. The characters were described with such detail I forgot that I was reading a book and felt that I was in the story with them.

I highly recommend reading Dice Angel.

Summary: Odds are you'll love it
Review: "Dice Angel" is a new book you're bound to have fun reading and will tell others to read. It's a skillfully ctafted story set in today's Las Vegas, portrayed thru the cynical eye of a long-time bar owner whose "luck" leads him into and out of crazy - yet believable - situations. The twists of the plot will keep you intrigued, the dialogue will have you smiling (even laughing aloud), and the energy will keep you involved from cover to cover. As you read this book, think Dick Francis, Loren Estleman, and Steve Martin. If you can picture and appreciate that combination, I believe you'll find "Dice Angel" a real winner. And don't be surprised if you can't help yourself, as I did in my mind's eye, casting the parts. The book is a natural for the large or small screen. Author Brian Rouff makes the characters in this first novel of his come alive. You can picture them and you want to know them. Let's have more!

Summary: We could all use a Dice Angel every now and then.....
Review: Bravo to Brian Rouff on writing such a crisp, clean, and insightful glimpse into Vegas life. Dice Angel explores an everyday life in the City of Sin, and shows us that at the center of greed one can find heart, even when they least expect it. Written with searing humor and startling accuracy, Dice Angel leads the reader down a path of moral decay, while offering hope that redemption is only a roll of the dice away.

Summary: A Sure Bet!!
Review: For anyone who enjoys stories about the excitement of gambling and winning or losing everything on one roll, Dice Angel is a great read. Take the roller coaster ride along with Jimmy Delaney and see if he can walk out of the casino a winner. But more importantly, a winner in life.

Summary: A Funny, Off-Beat Look at Las Vegas
Review: Dice Angel is the funniest, freshest book I've read in years. Brian Rouff could be to Las Vegas what Carl Hiassen is to Southern Florida. Witty, insightful, and yes, even poignant -- with great characters in situations that only a true Vegas insider could create. Once you've met Stanford Poon you'll never forget him. Can't wait to read Rouff's next effort. Dice Angel is a real gem.

Summary: This one really "rolls."
Review: This book captures the dream of every gambler's heart---that luck is might be a lady, or, better yet, an angel for hire. The characters are outrageous; I laughed on almost every page, yet the complications keep piling up so that by the second half I couldn't put it down. Terrific pacing keeps you moving from chapter to chapter, and the Dice Angel herself is a real treat.
The narrative totally captures the moment by moment tension of live table action, Vegas-style, and Jimmy Delaney is like a middle aged Jerry Seinfield, the IRS after him, up to his ears in financial problems, yet heroically dry-witted and determined to take even a step that goes beyond his basic nature to save everything he's worked for all his life. I love a story where the characters transcend themselves. A book full of humor and above all, heart.

Summary: Dice Angel - a good throw of the dice
Review: Things I learned this weekend...don't start a Brian Rouff book if you have a History exam that you are suppose to be studying for. I picked up Dice Angel, read the first two chapters and kept on reading during any spare time I found. The book was fun, with some plot twists that were unexpected. The characters, as pedestrian as the phrase may be, came alive from the pages. Living in southern Nevada, I related to many of the little Las Vegas quirks Brian included in his book, i.e., traffic cones, red lights and implosion prone redevelopment; I also learned other things that only someone who had done his research could have learned. The book is a fast read, it is fun, and gives a lesson each one of us should adopt: that if we don't believe in ourselves, we can only hope there is an angel out there who will.
