Summary: ROMANTIC TIMES TOP PICK
Review: "THE NEGOTIATOR is sterling romantic suspense" - Romantic Times Magazine TOP PICK

"THE NEGOTIATOR is a tense romantic suspense, with an intricate plot and topnotch writing." - Scribesworld, 5 Stars

"Dee Henderson has deftly combined action, suspense, and romance in this first-class inspirational romantic suspense. Kudos to Multnomah for stepping outside the boundaries of traditional inspirational romance to produce this excellent book, and kudos to Ms. Henderson for her obvious talent." - Affaire de Coeur

"Dee Henderson has written a triumphant inspirational fiction tale that has wider appeal than just to genre fans that will cherish this superb novel. ... Kate's exciting tale is a woman's search for faith and love that is so beautifully narrated that the audience will place this on the O'Malley keeper shelf." - Harriet Klausner, BookBrowser

"Dee Henderson again takes us on an intense ride....[The Negotiator] is a book that keeps the reader totally involved from beginning to end, as it clearly portrays-without sugar coating and hyperbole-one person's spiritual journey. I highly recommend THE NEGOTIATOR and I look forward to reading the next book in the O'Malley series." -Connie Ramsdell, Bookbug on the Web

Summary: Great Action and Drama, A Little Too Contrite In The Romance
Review: "The Negotiator" is my first Dee Henderson book. I know, I know...what planet have I been on? Well, I just finished all of the great works of C.S. Lewis, Randy Alcorn, Frank Peretti, etc. So I am just now discovering some other great Christian authors.

"The Negotiator" is a well-written suspense novel that holds its own against the rest of the market. Professional Negotiator Kate O'Malley's adventures and hardships make for an interesting story, and I found myself thinking it would be very cool to know such a person. Dee Henderson does a magnificent job of creating suspenseful scenes that keeps the reader on the edge of his seat. The plot, technical information, and characters are all very believable, and I can't see how anyone would not enjoy this first installment of the O'Malley series.

I did not give the novel five stars because I think it is lacking slightly in the area of dialogue. The romantic bantering between Kate O'Malley and FBI agent Dave Richman is too simple...too fake. Real romance is not so witty, so sure. This is the only flaw in the novel, but it did stand out because the rest of the dialogue was very solid and convincing.

I plan on reading more Dee Henderson books. She has the ability to weave together a great tale and adds just the write amount of the gospel message to her work. I only wish I hadn't read this book just before flying out of Midway for the first time in five years. Buy the book. Then you'll know what I mean.

See ya next review.

Summary: Good, easy read
Review: I really did not expect to like this book. I was pleasantly surprised. Combined mystery, romance, and faith all in one. I loved the characters so much that I read the next 2 books last week and will go out to buy the last 3 this week.
A lot of Christian fiction books push the faith part. This book was not overly pushy, yet wove the faith in an interesting manner in the storyline.
Out of the first 3 in this series, this one was my favorite =)

Summary: A Great Start To the O'Malley Series
Review: I consider myself hard to please when it comes to romance novels because I really loathe the mushy stuff. The first book of Henderson's collection I read was the prequel to the O'Malley Series and I was kind of disappointed.
However, I finished reading a series by Ted Dekker and was anxious for another Suspense/Thriller/Mystery and decided to give Henderson one last shot and purchased The Negotiator. I was not disappointed this time!
The Negotiator gives you a brief look into the life of a top hostage negotiator while she struggles along with others to solve a high profile case that involves her.
The Negotiator did incorporate a romantic theme, but Henderson used her dry wit and unending humor to please even the most critical readers.
I really enjoyed the suspense and the romance, I must admit, and even finished the whole book in less than 24 hours. When you start the book, be prepared to finish it quickly!

Summary: The Negotiator
Review: The Negotiator by Dee Henderson, is probably the best book I have ever read. I am not big into religion, but am a Christian. I thought the book was very good and did a very good job relating tagedy with mercy and god. I thought the book was going to be too Christian forward and try to persuade people to be christian which I do not entirely like, so I liked how it did not have views like that. The book was about a woman named Kate O'malley. She grew up in an orphan home and had an adopted family with other children she grew up with in the orphanage, who decided on a family name called the O'Malleys. Kate, who works as a Negotiator, in high stress situtations persuading people not to do something disatrous, finds out she has a long lost brother during one of her negotiations. This leads to the research of how she was realted to the incident and why she was being included in the problems she was supposed to be solving. The book goes on to talk about how accepting god is okay, even if you don't accept what he is doing. Kate then goes on to learn that it is okay to accept God in her life and in her line of duty. The book was extremely good and I am looking forward to reading the other books in the series. This book really taught me about the views of different people and why or why not they don't beleive.

Summary: Christian book with no passion for believers only
Review: These books should be in the Chritian section NOT the general section. I am returning all five I bought- she may be a good writier BUT the non-dsiclosure of the CHRISTIAN advocacy is wrong and Amazon should be ashamed! I don't buy books to be proselytized to by anybody's religion.
