Rating: Summary: fast paced and action packed thriller Review: Darcy St. James spent many years in the field as an espionage agent keeping her country free from those who sought to destroy it. When the Berlin Wall and the Iron Curtain fell, nobody was happier than Darcy, who thought she would be able to come in from the cold, as her side won the war.She learns quickly that when one war ends, another begins. On Sept 9, 2001, she meets with a former Soviet Union espionage agent who she trusts. Her feelings are misplaced and it is only thanks to Chief Petty Officer Sam Houston, a navy SEAL, that she is rescued. Two other agents in the field are assassinated that night making the CIA think something is going down. Sept 11 happens and the U.S. goes to war again with Darcy on the front lines, trying to trace a man who knew and profited from the terrorist attacks. Sam is part of Darcy's team at key times and though it is difficult, the pair conducts a romance during the war on terrorism. TRUE HONOR will appeal to the patriotism of every American. The story line is fast paced and action packed, a thriller based on one of the most infamous events in history. The romance that blossoms between the two soldiers on the front lines is beautiful, sweet and believable. Dee Henderson is a fantastic storyteller who knows how to keep and maintain reader interest from the very first page. Harriet Klausner
Rating: Summary: REAL HEROES WHO ARE BOTH HONEST AND TRUE Review: Hi! Once again it's a Christian Romance Reader who feel in love with the story before even knowing the slant of the book...!!! I read Dee Henderson's THE RESCURER (#6) and this last so far of the UNCOMMON HERO TRIO, (#3). I think I should statt at the beginning of the series and work my way forward... (Don't you?) I HAVE all the books in both series. ANYWAY!! I LOVE Dee Henderson and you will too! A real bit of shining sun....!
Rating: Summary: Wonderful as Usual! Review: I enjoy reading but believe there are too many good Christian writers out there to read much of the secular trash today. I used to think it was safe to go to my church library to get good reading material--WRONG!! They are interested in getting best sellers, etc. I enjoy a good novel that keeps my interest without the foul language, the sleeping around, etc. Don't get me wrong-- sometimes there is a purpose to these topics in the book-- like observing how the Christians around them have witnessed to bring them out of their sinful lives. Think you know what I mean. Dee Henderson is one of those authors that I can count on for a good clean story--exciting and clean. True Honor was no exception. It is a wonderful love story and both main characters happen to be Chrisitans. Throughout the entire book both Darcy and Sam look to the Lord for guidance and strength throughout trials. If is evident from the first moment they meet that there are "sparks" between the two of them. Do they act on those sparks by hopping in and out of bed? No! This is a thrilling story of espionage, danger, murder, terrorism, friendship, relationships, families and patriotism. It is also current-- as Ms Henderson's story begins just prior to that day in history we recently lived thru--9-11. An easy read that you won't put down until you are finished.

Rating: Summary: This series keeps getting better Review: I know that many will consider this heresy, but I think I like the Uncommon Heroes series even better than the O'Malleys. (Though the O'Malley series is really good!) I really liked this look behind the scenes at terrorism and how 2 people of faith handled the events of Sept. 11th. I always feel proud to be an American and know there are men and women like the ones Dee Henderson writes about out there serving our country. This one talked about the price those heroes pay mentally. I enjoyed it.
Rating: Summary: My favorite in the series Review: I love all Ms. Henderson's work, but this one was a special treat. This couple was interesting, daring and always ready for adventure. The stronger suspense thread was a plus for me. The ladies can write great thrillers and suspense too! Ms. Henderson's daredevil heroines steal my heart everytime. She just gets better.
Rating: Summary: Awesome book! Review: I love every book Dee Henderson has written. This one is centered around the events of 9/11, so it was a little more special to me. The characters are awesome; the story is awesome. I loved Darcy and Sam; you will, too!!!
Rating: Summary: Third time is another charm Review: I really liked this book. Being a stong Christian and an avid supporter of the US military, I found it very refreshing to see both Christianity and the military portrayed so well. Henderson is a skillful writer and knows how to weave a good tale. The only bad things about this book I can see are a few minor mistakes when it comes to military protocol, but those mistakes in no way take anything from the book. This is my favorite Uncommon Hero book so far and I'm looking forward to the next one when it comes out.
Rating: Summary: New to this series...will read the others. Review: I was given this book, as a gift, I have never read any of the other books in this series, but if this is an example of the quility, then I am a new fan. I plan to get the other books as soon as possible, they are filled with action and romance; even though I am a guy, I like the romance as well. The characters are real and believable while living a life I will never be able to live, one of danger and excitment. The best part is that their faith in God is put above all. This book showed me that a writer can explore the action world and still have high moral characters. I say, to Ms. Henderson, keep up the good work and to everyone else, READ THIS BOOK.
