Rating: Summary: This was the best thriller I have ever read.Masterpiece!! Review: This was the best book I have ever read! Author is a
true genius. Never before have I read such riveting
context, not to mention exciting drama, but with
a splash of intamacy that pulled it all together.
Kay was a wonderfully put together character.
Keep it up!!!
Rating: Summary: Outstanding characters Review: Very believable. Looking forward to next book by this author. Well worth the time.
Rating: Summary: Terrific idea for a novel and it made want to be swept away. Review: Very few books makes me want to become the characters in the book and I walked around Polk Street pretending I was an achromatic photographer. There is a certain mysterious allure to Kay Farrow's world. David Hunt's novel, though, still makes me wish that it could have taken me further into this world and in the end it lacked complete immersion. Probably because I live in San Francisco and in the same general area as Kay's world. I was suspicious of the dialogue and the situation. It didn't seem completely real somehow. I retraced Kay's foosteps and it made me lost somehow. I think that there should have been more sex, kink, crime, etc (like Larry Kramer's "Faggots"). The novel did not push it to the edge enough to deserve the San Francisco scenes and situations. There is so much more that David could have written and I am slightly disappointed for this. However, it was a great ride and it was fun to make believe for the duration of my reading this book. It didn't capture me completely like the thrill in "Silence of the Lambs." It was kind of a dumber version of this thriller. The ending for me as well lacked the bravado that the whole book deserves.
