Review: Compared to true, gut-wrenching thrillers, this book is downright silly. The romance is laughable, the premise is weak, the story, accomplished by uninteresting dialogue, is just simply not creditable. How can the "professional reviews" lead us astray like this ? YUK - don't waste your money !!!

In this case a conference in the infamous Wannsee hotel is hijacked by environmentalists bu as is always a plot of more sinister notions soon weeds its way into the storyline...

You'll be yawning long before you finish it.

Review: I bought this book to plagiarize for my creative writing course. The characters were awful, the plot winding and inconsistent, and the grammar worthy of a college student. In short, my professor believed me.

Get one used for 1 penny. It's about all it's worth unless you have special needs.

Summary: Painfully Bad
Review: I finished this book because I was stuck on a plane and it was all I had to read, but it is so bad that the experience was painful. Nothing in the book is either believable or engaging. The characters are facades with no clear motivation and the actions are simply beyond all belief. It should have been a clear indication when I noticed there was no author's picture or bio on the book jacket. I wouldn't want to be associated with this mess either.

Summary: A foolish and lackluster attempt at writing a spy novel.
Review: Paulie and Kate, the two heroes. Kate kills Paulie's parents because her parents were killed by Paulie's father who worked for the Mafia before working for the CIA. Paulie sets out to kill Kate but falls madlly in love with her, and she with him, even though she continues to have sexual liaisons with her long time multi-millionaire lover, who is really going broke. Paulie suspects something and follows Kate using his adept spy techniques, catches Kate and her lover in the act of lovemaking, but later decides that its okay when Kate givers her explanation (It was a good reason, but I've forgotten what it was ). Paulie and Kate then try to save the world (REALLY!) when Paulie, who also works for the CIA, gets assigned to protect the US prez at a peace conference. The president and his wife are taken hostage by a mad German lecturer and his WWII-scarred father, then are nearly killed when the four are blown up in the building where taken hostage. By then, you also know the Vice Prez, the Asst. director of the CIA and Kate's going-broke millionaire lover are all in multifarious plots to disrupt the peace conference, and you are not quite halfway through this novel. There are so many twists and turns it becomes more unbelievable and laughable as the story develops. I had to finish the novel, with its somewhat predictable, lackluster and boring ending, but read two other non-fiction books in between to keep my interest piqued in reading. If you want to read this novel, consider picking it up at a library. You sure don't want to waste good money on it as I did.

Review: With weak characterizations, unfathomable motivations, disjointed story line and less than believable plot....this story is about as gut wrenching and dramatic as waiting for your lawn to grow, but in the end, much less fullfilling.

Review: Yes, you will be propelled through plot twists almost every chapter. But you don't really care, because you don't really care about the poorly drawn characters. Every one of the players is either lacklustre or repulsive. In fact, you almost wish the leading lady will die a horrible death early in the book - if you read the first few chapters, you will agree with me, but why suffer at all? The syrupy love interest doesn't help at all - in fact, it adds to your desire to see the guy or gal depart the scene so you don't have to read another sappy love line in this book. Nuff said. One star for the plot twists, but that's it. (Also, you can't give less with this ratings system.)
