Summary: An excellent read, fast paced and hard to put down.
Review: I started reading Friday evening. Saturday morning instead of going to work I continued. When I finally did get to work I found an excuse to leave after only two hours so I could return home to the book. I live in Sacramento. Relating to a number of locations and activities created that much more enjoyment. I recommend the book to any reader.

Summary: Great read for airline trips!
Review: The chill of having someone who's "not quite right" coming after you made me shiver. I kept thinking, what would I have done in Dr. Madison's place? My only problem was having to put it down to get off each flight!

Summary: Couldn't put it down--I started at 8PM and finished at 3AM!
Review: The descriptions were so vivid, I could picture everyone and everything that was happening. It was a riveting story, a real page turner. I started it at 8 at night and couldn't stop reading until I was done at 3 in the morning! A great book, I highly recommend it.

Summary: It's a page-turner. I thought it was most entertaining!
Review: I enjoyed the book. It was a "quick read"--I like books with short chapters and plots that give the readers hints that something's coming in later chapters the reader wants to know about; i.e., a "page-turner," which False Accusations certainly is. The DNA element was amazingly timely--what could have been a technically arcane subject seems quite realistic. I thought the book was most entertaining!

Summary: Great ending! I really loved it.
Review: I just finished the book and really loved it. I was so glad that it turned out the way it did. I just knew there was going to be something great at the end. I was in a mystery bookstore today and there were some other books such as material by Steve Martini and I told the manager she should have False Accusations on the shelves. I thank the author for providing many pleasurable hours of reading over the past two weeks.

Summary: Compelling and Believable
Review: False Accusations depicts the depths of despair and frustration a model citizen can suffer as the result of an innocent everyday happening.
Mr. Jacobson tells a riveting story with believable characters and plot that make for a very compelling read. It also gives us a unique look into the workings of our criminal justice system and the peripheral leg work it takes to make it work, or not, as the case may be! We will definitely be on the lookout for more work by Alan Jacobson.

Summary: what about the ending?????
Review: This is the first book I've read by Alan Jacobson. I could not put it down. The DNA stuff was some what boring....and what about the ending????? Jacobson gave no reason for the ending and I found it somewhat lacking. Other than that....the book was great.

Summary: A respected physician is accused of a double homicide.
Review: Alan Jacobson's novel of suspense, "False Accusations," is about a prominent and philanthropic orthopedic surgeon named Phillip Madison. Dr. Madison has established a thriving practice in Sacramento, California. He is wealthy and highly respected in the community. He is also blessed with a lovely wife and two beautiful children.

Dr. Madison's life is abruptly turned upside down when he meets an emotionally disturbed woman named Brittany Harding. Ms. Harding is filling in as an administrator for an organization to help the developmentally disabled. Since his brother is developmentally disabled, Dr. Madison devotes a great deal of time to this organization. When Harding turns out to be a liability as an administrator because of her tactlessness and spiteful tongue, Dr. Madison hints that she will most likely lose her job. Harding then sets out to ruin Dr. Madison's reputation, marriage and career.

Harding's diabolical scheme works so well that Dr. Madison is in danger of losing everything that he has worked for his entire life. His troubles reach a crescendo when he is accused of a double homicide. Only Dr. Madison's lawyer, Jeffrey Hellman, and his friend, Ryan Chandler, a forensic specialist, believe in Dr. Madison's innocence and set out to exonerate him.

"False Accusations" offers a sympathetic protagonist, intriguing police work and lively courtroom theatrics. Jacobson succeeds in maintaining a high level of suspense throughout the novel. However, stilted dialogue and an unbelievable ending keep the book from being a first rate thriller. Therefore, I give "False Accusations" a marginal recommendation.
