Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ THRILLER. Review: Are you as tired of the same old legal thriller as I am? Initially, I was hesitant to purchase a psychological thriller for fear that it was the same old story where once you read the first chapter you have the story line and the characters figured out. I bought the book anyway just to see what a first time author had to offer. I must admit that I was truly taken for a ride while reading this book. The story never flatlined. I was on the edge of my seat and could not put the book down until I flipped the last page. The characters were so real to me that I was able to empathize with them, hate them and love them depending on what emotion the story evoked. I cannot say enough about this book or the author behind it. This book is an absolute must read for anyone looking for a great new story. I am impatiently awaiting the next book by Alan Jacobson and am planning to read 'False Accusations' again just to make sure that I didn't miss anything.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: A rollercoaster ride. Review: I don't ride rollercoasters anymore. This book is the closest thing I've experienced in a long time. The ups, downs, twists, turns and wonder of what is coming next. I could not put it down. The characters were so believable, they were real. I could feel their emotions. I could see them. Hopefully, this will be a major motion picture. I wouldn't change a thing. I hope Dr. Jacobson has another book coming out very soon.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: First Rate First Time Author Review: A friend loaned me this book and told me not to begin reading it at night because I would not be able to put it down. Regretably, I did not heed her advice and stayed up (most) of the night finishing this book. What distinguishes False Accusations from other pyschological thrillers is that it combines good old fashioned storytelling with believable characters and a rich plot. Although I fashion myself as one to guess the outcome of mysteries before the end, I was completely blown away by the plot twists and creative, clever ending. I can't wait to read Jacobson's next novel. Oh - and that copy of 'False' that I borrowed from my friend ... well, she is just going to have to buy a new one for herself!
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Like eating a potato chip. Once I started, I couldn't stop. Review: Being a doctor, I read hundreds of technical papers and articles each year. I reserve fiction for night time relaxation. The problem was, I couldn't put the book down. I read it while I ate--almost unheard of in the past. I even looked forward to going to the bathroom! False Accusations is every bit as good as anything ( and everything ) written by W.E.B. Griffin. I thought about it for weeks after I finished it. An absolute must read! Treat yourself. You deserve it. DrRLaser@aol.com
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: An Edge-of-the-Seat Thriller Review: "False Accusations" centers around two very believable acts: a double murder and a rape, items we read about in the news everyday. To this avid mystery reader it combines the elements I find most terrifying in a book of this genre: the psychopathic personality lurking within the brilliant mind. For it is in the psychopath that you have the terror of the make-believe-monster-under-the-bed hidden behind the façade of the next door neighbor. It is believable and it is real.In this gripping novel of suspense, Jacobson realistically portrays the advanced technology of 21st century forensic sciences with a thorough knowledge of trial procedures and the win-at-any cost attitude of counsel for both sides. This is unfortunate, since for many of the characters it is a truth-be-damned approach to scoring a win for your team. "False Accusations" demonstrates how quickly a perfect life can unravel based solely on an accusation of sexual misconduct, and that there is a certain danger in failing to avoid circumstances that are part of a vengeful plot. It is a frame-up from the beginning, but one where the subject has no idea that there is a plot behind seemingly innocent actions and interactions. "False Accusations" is designed to be an edge of the seat thriller, and it succeeds at that. It is left up to the reader to consider the situation, try and make sense of it, and ponder...is it fiction, or is it fact? As frightening as the twists, the turns, and the conclusion are, you are left to wonder if this plot could happen, has happened. A gripping, suspenseful novel. Five stars. Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: What an ending!!!! Review: New author Jacobson has crafted a taunt look at the (in)justice system wherein we live. This is a fast-paced thriller with plenty of twists and back stories which will keep the reader riveted and glued to the pages. Jacobson's nemisis, a real two-faced backstabber may just become one of your all time favorites. I can easily see this becoming a film starring the likes of Harrison Ford or Denzel Washington with a little Nicole Kidman thrown into the mix! A MUST read!!!
Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Old Story Retold Review: I definitely could put this book down and did for a couple of days. In fact, I could not recall the title from memory. This novel appeals to those who enjoy a fast-paced read without any substance. I agree, its a good book to take on a plane as it requires no concentration or thought. The story line is old, the characters superficial and poorly developed, and the verbage is trite. If you have insomnia then this is a book for you. If you enjoy good writing...skip this one.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Will Take Over Your Life If You Let It... Review: In the immortal words of Murphy Brown, "Listen up, boys and girls, this is one great book". You know a book is GOOD when you give it priority reading status over more than 175 (last quick inventory) hard covers stacked in den, bedrooms, and living room (yes, over 175 purchased from amazon.com by this voracious reader and former library trustee in the past 18 months...what can I say, I love a wide variety of books...maybe should have purchased amazon.com stock!). You know a book is GOOD when you savor each page and do NOT want the story to end; the next book you pick up to read may not be as well written! You'll excuse me...I must return to False Accusations now and continue this excellent read. Thank you, Alan Jacobson, and keep on writing.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: No reader will falsely accuse Jacobson for lack of suspense Review: Dance with the devil usually means losing everything and everyone dear to the partner. Dr. Phillip Madison understands this first hand due to the stalking, accusations, and outright lies publicly stated to the media and the police by his ex-employee Brittany Harding. She accuses Phillip of rape, turning their innocent outings into incriminating trysts. To get this maniac out of his life, Phillip authorizes his lawyer to pay Brittany. However, the damage has been done. Phillip's wife believes Brittany's charges and leaves him, taking their children with her. Phillip's life spirals even further downward when he is accused of the hit and run death of two people. Witnesses identified Phillip's car at the scene of the vehicular homicides. Upon inspection, the vehicle revealed additional incriminating evidence to include a busted headlight and blood in the front of the car. Phillip knows that Brittany has framed him. He plans to do whatever is necessary to prove his innocence and her guilt so that he can get her out of his life permanently. Alan Jacobson and suspense are synonymous as the talented author proves with his latest novel. Mr. Jacobson builds his tale until the reader swears the unbelievable heights of suspense cannot get any higher. Instead, Mr. Jacobson pulls a twist and the octaves rise beyond the stratosphere. The realistic characters allow the audience to establish a rapport with them, especially with the beleaguered lead protagonist. The probability of anyone guessing the ending is remote even though it is reasonable, plausible, and sensible. No reader will accuse FALSE ACCUSATIONS as being anything less than a fantastic reading experience that leaves the audience clamoring for an early release of Mr. Jacobson's next book, THE HUNTED. Rating: ![0 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-0-0.gif) Summary: I would like to thank all readers Review: I would like to thank all the readers who have taken the time to post their comments on the book. Writing a novel can be a very taxing experience--one that requires the writer to delay gratification for years (taking into account the time from completion of the first draft to the time it hits the shelves). The overwhelmingly positive response from my readers has made it all worthwhile. Thanks for your support.
