Summary: Writer shows a lot of promise, needs to work on his endings
Review: I picked up this book after reading the author's story of how he became a published writer in the book Word by Word : An Inspirational Look at the Craft of Writing. Knowing it's the author's first novel is important, because it helps you overlook some of his flaws. Most of the things I didn't like about the book (such as the overly dramatic intro) will probably fade as the author gets more comfortable writing.

My only real problem with the book, and it's a big one, is the ending. It was not believable, especially with what we know about the main character. And the villian was so despicable, the ending cheapened the pleasure we experienced when she got what she deserved.

Even though the book would have been more predictable with a typical ending, it also would have given the reader what he/she wanted.

Anyway, the story was a good idea. I could see it being optioned for film. But if it is I hope they change the ending. That said, I do think the author has potential, and I'm looking forward to see what he does with his next book.

Summary: A very good book
Review: This was just simply a good book. I found it well written and enjoyable. I am looking forward to more books by Alan Jacobson.

Summary: unfortunately disappointing
Review: the beginning was really riveting and I settled down to be absorbed by a great read. Unfortunately I was disappointed by the time I reached the fourth chapter. All the background information seemed to be written in parentheses instead of unfolding as part of the story. Had to force myself to finish it and do not think that the last line justified all the (unnecessary)and (repetitious) detail.

Summary: GREAT READ!
Review: This book kept me on the edge. I couldn't put it down. It ignited my emotions. I had a mental picture of every thing that was happening. It was like watching a video. Well written, fast and exciting. It is obvious that the author did a lot of legal research and home work on this one. I hope that they make movie.

Summary: New Writer Flys High
Review: I just recently read "False Accusations" by Alan Jacobson. Alan does a great job of keeping you involved with just enough twist and turns that you'll want to read it straight through, I look foward to his next book.

Summary: Re. False Accusations
Review: This book starts off with a high interest hit and run. A female character who is every man's nightmare is introduced at the same time that Dr. Madison is accused of driving the hit and run car. Brittany Harding makes a career of taking offense and verbally stalking everyone she deals with. There are too many pages of Brittany's repeated offenses and the troubles she caused the good doctor with the sterling reputation. It's a real stretch of the imagination for the police to believe that Brittany stole Dr. Madison's car, killed two people, and returned it. Dr. Madison, however, calls in a favor from a top notch investigator to help prove his case. The book is tedius in the middle but has a knockout of a surprise ending. I was glad that I finished it.

Summary: False Accusations
Review: I read constantly. I have a book in my briefcase at all times. Never have I been so excited as I am about False Accusations by Alan Jacobson. Once I began the book I had much difficulty putting it down. I had to re-read the ending several times as I was so shocked at the outcome. When I learn about the publish date of this authors next book I will be standing in line at the bookstore hoping to get the first copy! I recommend this book to anyone who likes suspense and a very well written book. Great job, Mr. Jacobson. You have a great career ahead of you!

Summary: Strong beginning, predictable ending
Review: Jacobson's novel started with a bang, built up momentum, but towards the middle, petered out into a predictable "twisted" ending. The main characters are near characatures -- the noble and highly skilled surgeon and the evil vamp. Unfortunately, we learn little about her except that she personifies the horrors of sexual harassment charges. And while I thought the ending was fairly obvious, one detail was not explained or covered to make that ending plausible. Jacobson does have potential, though. He writes well and keeps the reader's attention. Next time, he better make sure all loose ends are tied up when concocting complex plots.

Summary: HURRAY AND WRITE ANOTHER ONE
Review: THIS IS ONE ON THE BEST BOOKS THAT I HAVE READ, I'T KEPT MEGUESSING TO THE VERY END. A MUST READ. IF YOU LIKE INTRIGUE. YOU'LLLOVE THIS.

Summary: Nerve-Wracking twists and turns
Review: I couldn't wait to get through this book to see how it would end. This book kept me up until 3:30am two nights in a row. I loved it the tension just kept building as Brittany planned and plotted against Madison. Chandler was a likable character as was Jeffrey. I was a little disappointed with the ending. I love to write and admire this well thought out plot, wish my mind was that devious.
