Summary: What a book!
Review: Right from the start Ms. Lewin grabs you and doesn't let go. This book has characters that have you living the story with them through every fast-paced twist and turn. Blind Run keeps the characters running and the reader's heart racing right along with them. Can't wait for Patricia Lewin's next one!

Summary: Excellent Book, Excellent Author!
Review: This book was fantastic. It was a quick read keeping you on the edge of your seat the entire time. I highly recommend it and I cannot wait to read Out of Reach - coming in December!

Summary: A MUST read book!
Review: This is a great book, with fast action, wicked plot twists and a "WOW" of a surprise at the end!! Saying to much gives it away as it grabs you from the begining and doesn't let go until the last page. I pulled an "all-nighter" with this one...just COULD NOT put it down! If you like any of the mystery genre.....Nora Roberts, J D Robb, Janye Ann Krentz, Sandra Brown or Iris Johansen, you will add another 'must read' author to your list with Patricia Lewin!

Summary: Don't waste your money
Review: This novel is very cliche and half baked. The plot contains more oxymorons than I've ever read. There are numerous unbelieveable scenes and happenings. One such example is that of a road in the dessert that is hidden (in the DESSERT), onto which a car turns; once that car turns, the car following loses track of them (in the DESSERT). We're talking wide open spaces here for endless miles. How is it possible to lose track of something that can't hide? There's also an instance when it is noted that it wouldn't be wise for the main characters to go to a place owned by her parents as that's the first place where the pursuers are bound to look. In the next few paragraphs they describe their destination which is, ofcourse, owned in part by her parents. Helloooooooo!
I am angry at myself for paying valuable money for this novel and will return it first thing tomorrow.

Summary: Very Good read
Review: This was a very good read. It was well-written, fast-paced and enjoyable. The characters were likeable, multi-dimensional and well-defined and I look forward to reading the (I hope) inevitable sequel.

In response to "A reader from Hayward, CA United States", since when is the dessert flat and wide-opened spaces? I've seen dessert with canyons and mountains and lots of places to hide- or to lose someone following. Also they didn't go to property partially owned by her parents- although I will grant it was in the immediate vicinity her parents' property.

Summary: Good reading here...
Review: Three years ago, Ethan Decker lost everything. A vengeful enemy did worse than killing him, he killed Decker's son. To save his wife from being the next victim, he exiled himself to the desert; locked in a torture chamber of his own making, Decker existed, but did not live. That all changes when a ghost from his past leaves two children who need him in his care before finally dying. Now Decker is all that stands between these children and a fiendish plot with ties to his past. As much as he wants to protect his ex wife, Sydney Decker is the only person who can help him.

*** The modern world has its share of new miracles, but as this book demonstrates, they can just as easily be horrors. With tightly drawn suspense, Ms. Lewin takes readers on a chilling journey full of hope and pain. ***

Summary: action packed thriller
Review: Three years ago, Ethan Decker worked for the CIA. His assignment, along with his team was to assassinate a rogue agent known as Marcia Ramirez AKA the Spaniard. Something went wrong and Ramirez got away but someone on the team killed an innocent child. Not long after that, The Spaniard killed almost everyone on Ethan's teams as well as Ethan's son Nicky.

Ethan holes up in the desert but one-day the only living member of his former team, Anna Kelsey shows up with two children. She dumps them on Ethan and leaves but before she can get very far the Spaniard kills her. The kids tell Nathan that they and other children have been living on Haian Island off Washington State since birth. None of the children has ever been off the island and from what they say to Ethan, he realizes they are part of a black-ops secret project. Back in the game again, he grabs his ex-wife Sydney one step ahead of the assassins and both of them eventually realize they have to go to the island to free the children, a task that seems suicidal because Ethan knows who he has to go up against.

Patricia Lewin has written a "two thumbs up" action packed thriller filled with plenty of harrowing chase scenes and fats getaways. The sparks fly between the two ex agents, which becomes welcome relief from a taut suspense story line. Fans of Hopper, Gerritsen or Burke will want to read BLIND RUN, a great debut novel by one of tomorrow's superstars.

Summary: More confusing than gripping....
Review: While this book had some good scenes, I found much of it to be more confusing than exciting. I never quite got into the characters, and thought some of their actions/reactions inexplicable. The plot seemed borrowed from a fifties movie. It's not a bad book, just not great. It wasn't what I expected from reading the other reviews. Glad I bought a used copy!
