Robard's did an excellent job in portraying a family dynamic that was very intimate and very interesting. Although the underlying story of the mother's apparent suicide and the kidnapper of the '70s is a good foundation, it was the romance of Olivia and Seth that took the front seat. I enjoyed the angst of Olivia's emotions, I only wish we had seen more from Seth. The only reason this book receives a 4 star and not 5 from me is because of the seemingly rushed ending. It was almost like, "Oh! I have 1 chapter and 5 pages left and I still have to kidnap a little girl, solve a thirty year old mystery AND reveal the culprit and his motive!" I could of stood for a longer book with more depth in the underlying story.

Review: Although I liked this book--Robards is an excellent weaver of Mystery/Romance--I got a little bogged down in the "costume changes"! I especially liked the relationship between Sara and her Mom--and the way the example of that relationship showed Seth and Chloe how it was done. I also appreciated not being able to guess who the bad guy was until the very end!
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Grisly romance Review: As a blending of romance and suspense it doesn't quite make it. Human taxidermy on little girls is just too gruesome to work in a romance. A relationship between quasi cousins would be ok except that there was more of a sense of adoptive siblings between them which is just a little too close to incest for comfort. I would just as soon not have the villain of this particular profession not that this is particularly unusual. Finally, the relationship between the main characters is neglected in favor of the suspense. While I'm usually a Robards fan, not this time.

Reader Dean Robertson is appropriately chilling as he relates the 20 year old murders of little girls the same age as Olivia's daughter.

A few chilling scenes do not save this uninspired novel. Nothing new except for some insensitive nepotism on the part of one of the main characters - I'd quit if I worked for him.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Romance, Murder, Mystery, Suspense Review: Ghost Moon fills the bill with the spine-tingling murderer who steals 8 year old girls from their beds, the glorious romance that develops between Olivia Morrison and her step-cousin Seth, and the mystery of Olivia's mother's death when Olivia was a child. The dramatic climax in this novel is riveting, I stayed up until 4:00 a.m. to finish the book. A definite must read for those who enjoy mystery and romance.
Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Ghost Moon is excellent Review: GHOST MOON is the first Karen Robards novel I've read (I just happen to see it in the library). I think Ghost Moon is a very good book, good story line. I highly recommend it. (Especially if you also like Nora Roberts and Kristin Hannah books.) The only down side is that I got so confused with the characters... there are so many! I really have to think which one is related to who and who's not. And what's up with Seth's Polo shirts and Khaki Pants... it must have been mentioned at least 50 times and it got kinda annoying.

Review: I am a big fan of Karen robards BUT, with this book, I find myself rolling my eyes and sighing every time she describes what her characters are wearing. Who cares, get on with the story.I think the story is very good usually romance books don't hold my attention but her books do. I think a better example of her books would be Paridise County, I fully enjoyed that book. This book needs alot of concentration to remember who everybody is. Lots of unnessasary characters.Does every man in Louisianna wear khakis?
