Rating: Summary: Not a good read Review: This is not worth the time it takes to get through the legal ramblings to read it. I agree with the other reviewer that it is a magazine article, not a full book. In the beginning it appears to be a very interesting story, but about 1/4 of the way through you realize it's never going to get more interesting. The author seemed to go through court proceedings and transcribe them word for word, without much investigating of his own. Pick a better thriller, this is not it.
Rating: Summary: A TEXTBOOK CASE FOR MURDER Review: This story points out the importance of one individual standing by their convictions even though ALL the authorities and professionals disagreed with that person's impression and feeling. Backbone is the word of perfect description. This story is also for the aspiring attorney as the myriad of details and layer upon layer of fact gathering gives you the complexity of law-giving. This is also for the true crime addict who soaks up the doing of the dastardly and derring do. In parts the story is quite clinical, but the human interest is more overpowering and the results of lying is most compelling. A good read.

Rating: Summary: could it be more boring??? Review: Well, if I could select "three and a half," that's what I'd give it. Very, very interesting story. But, as others have said, the writer gets bogged down in detailed timelines of court filings, depo transcripts, etc. A little of that goes a long, long way. I also agree a previous customer that I would have preferred a section of photos and/or diagrams, to make the characters more real. I was kind of frustrated at the end of the book, when so much is left unresolved. But that is why it's nonfiction! The story really IS unresolved in real life.
