Rating: ![4 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-4-0.gif) Summary: Entertaining for the amateur romantic detective. Review: Sanrda Brown weaves an entertaining story with one of the last romantic and mystical cities left in America. Claire is an intriguing character with more honor than usually found in romantic female characters. I didn't care for Cassidy and failed to see the attraction Claire was supposed have for him. I also found the ending a little too convenient.

Claire Laurent is the owner of a lingerie mail-order business, French Silk, and is the suspect in the murder of a televangelist, Jack Wilde. New Orleans assistant district attorney Robert Cassidy is on the case and, of course, is also highly attracted to his best suspect, Claire.A terrific story and a great mystery. The end is fantastic and the killer will be a total surprise. Another great Brown saga.

This story will keep you guessing until the climatic end, with its many twists and turns and subplots. If you've never experienced Sandra Brown before, now's the time, and if you have, you will surely agree with me that it's one of her best. Lastly, I give this book a nine as I hope to give Ms. Brown a challenge to create a novel that I enjoy even more

Rating: ![3 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-3-0.gif) Summary: Catchy but Predictable Review: This book caught my attention at the start, and kept me hooked all the way through. Although at first I found the plot a little predictable, I was totally suprised in the end. The love affair between Claire and Cassidy went on for a little too long before anything happened, and Claire got on my nerves with all her lying. She could have saved herself a lot of trouble if she had just told the truth. Overall it was an interesting read, but I don't think it was a huge sucess.
Rating: ![5 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-5-0.gif) Summary: Believable and captivating-SB @ her best! Review: This book's intricately put-together plot provides the reader with enormous amounts of suspense. You'll never guess who the villain is and, even if you do, Sandra will made it so you change your mind a hundred different times on who did it. The plot was (suprisingly) believable, but interesting enough so that you wanted to keep reading. I definately recommend this book for anybody who loves books.
Rating: ![2 stars](http://www.reviewfocus.com/images/stars-2-0.gif) Summary: Swit killed this one for me! Review: This is one of the earlier audio books by Sandra Brown. This story has a lot of twists and turns. I will admit that listening to this one might not be the best bet. Part of my rating it a 3 is due to the fact that Loretta Switt's southern accent drove me absolutely nuts. It made me dislike the story. Claire Laurent is the founder and designed of a lingerie company who has been under attach from a television preacher. So who is one of the prime suspects when this preacher dies in his room.... Claire. But, she claims that she is not the killer and that someone is trying to set her up.. At the same time she is not cooperating at all with DA Robert Cassidy who has fallen in love with her. In fact she continues to lie to him, until he forces her hand as he keeps digging up things. If I was him the first 3 or 4 times she lied I would have let her take her punishment. There were a lot of twists and turns though and just when you think you know where things are going it will change again.
