Rating: Summary: impressed with my 1st op center Review: this is real good story with Hood and family..the terrorists who seige the UN, and the terrorists who are hunting the terrorists who take the UN..starts off with much action and it continues nicely throughout..i look forward to the previous op centers and the net force saga
Rating: Summary: Waste of money Review: This time I mean it. I'm not going to buy (or read) these "quickies" that Clancy and friends (real authors?) generate two or three times a year. The plot and character development are weak . These novels are very poor imitations of Clancy's Classics. I'd rather read one good Clancy novel a year than these paperback pseudo-Clancy's. Come'on, Tom, admit it - you're not writing these (and I'll bet you don't even read them either).
Rating: Summary: Bill's Review Review: This was a good read for somebody that likes fast paced action books with political overtones
Rating: Summary: First Clancy book of mine, I couldn't put it down. Review: This was a very entertaining book to em, but I really can't compare it up to some of his normal standards this being my first book, but I do reccomend it and I don't see what's not to liek about it.
Rating: Summary: This book was great Review: This was an awesome book and it deserves the best rating. It has action and suspense. The villians are well thought out and plotted. The heros are also described well. This book describes everything so you can play it in your mind like a movie. You should definitly read this book.
Rating: Summary: Great First Clancy Read Review: This was the first of many Clancy novels I will read. The story held my interest from the first page, and I couldn't wait to find out what happened next. The plot was conceivable and well developed. I really felt sorry for Paul Hood - his wife could use an attitude adjustment.
Rating: Summary: A true to life, action pack thriller ! Review: Tom has done it again with his newest Op's- Center book, "State of Siege". As soon as you crack the cover you are drafted into the covert world of spies, lies and traders. Plan to take a few days off when you finish this action packed book. You will need a vacation!
Rating: Summary: Another abysmal money-spinner Review: Truly awful How Clancy can put his name on juvenile trash like this, even now when the material he writes himself is worthy of five stars(i.e RAINBOW SIX, RED STORM RISING among others) is beyond me. The story might have had real potential in a proper Clancy novel, with a takeover of the United Nations. It could have been awesome if thought out intelligently, but is totally wasted. Renegade 'peacekeepers' turn terrorists(!!) and kidnap a children's orchestra(!!), start killing the hostages and THEN start bargaining? Come on! And of course, one of the hostages just happens to be one of Op Center director Paul Hood's kids! Ho-hum. Crap-Center strikes again. I could write an entire book about how bad this one is.

Rating: Summary: This is such a good book! Review: When I read Clancy's books for my first time, it sparked my attention. These books are great for reading on free time and when you have homework or nothing to do. Clancy expresses the urgency of the book greatly when terrorists attack the UN H.Q. If you keep reading clear through to dinner time, you never want to put it down and eat anything. I hope that Clancy will make more books so i can read them.
